Podcasts
The last few days I have just started listening to Podcasts just out of sheer boredom really,I thought Peter Crouch had a lot of publicity about his so I gave it a try the one with Dyche and the team lying in the river at the Training ground as a forfeit and Michael Duff's ONE keepy uppy was quite funny
What I really what is to get into these has anyone got any suggestions please,I also listened to Lee Mack's " I cant believe it's not Budda" which was great for sending me to sleep, just put the ear buds in,and ten minutes later I was snoring my tits off
Suggestions please.

Re: Podcasts
Louis Theroux has a new one which is interesting. The episode with Troy Deeney is very good, it certainly changed my opinion of him.

Re: Podcasts
Old ones but the Ricky Gervais podcasts with Karl Pilkington are very funny. Listened to under the cosh with Glen Little which was good. Also for nostalgia James Richardson is doing a gazzetta football italia which is good too.Steve1956 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 20, 2021 9:18 amThe last few days I have just started listening to Podcasts just out of sheer boredom really,I thought Peter Crouch had a lot of publicity about his so I gave it a try the one with Dyche and the team lying in the river at the Training ground as a forfeit and Michael Duff's ONE keepy uppy was quite funny

Re: Podcasts
BBC Radio have some fabulous Desert Island Disc podcasts that are worth a listen, some go back to the days of when Sue Lawley was presenter up to the present day. Loads of different people on there and their stories and music choices are entertaining.

Atomic Hobo (All sorts of nuclear war related stuff)
The curious cases of Rutherford and Fry
Making sense with Sam Harris (All sorts of philosophical stuff for the modern world)
Betamax video club (people chatting about mainly 80s films)
Casefile (in depth, usually 2 or 3 hour long episodes about crime)

Cheers guys I'll check them out, came across Athletico Mince with Bob Mortimer absolutely hilarious...The Peter Beardsley joke collection is brilliant.
Re: Podcasts
I tend to listen to football podcasts, so:
Totally Football Show- James Richardson along with various football journalists including James Horncastle and Rafa Honigstein.
Guardian Football Weekly- Max Rushden and Barry Glendinning with various football journalists
BBC Radio 5 live Football Daily- Various presenters and guests
Each podcast is around an hour long.
If I fancy a bit of history, then I listen to Dan Snow’s History Hit. He covers everything from ancient history to the present day, and interviews Professors, Scholars and Historians from around the world.

Re: Podcasts
S Town is a true crime one but is usually the first podcast that gets people “hooked” on podcasts. Well worth a listen.

Re: Podcasts
The best footy one has to be Quickly Kevin, Will he score, that’s if you were into 90s football! It’s my sort of era so great to listen to some of the old players from that time. Very funny.

I looked for it recently on the podcasts app but couldn’t find it. It’s pretty amazing how just one bloke talking can be so engaging. Dan Carlin certainly knows his stuff!JohnMcGreal wrote: ↑Thu Jan 21, 2021 3:35 pmI'm not sure if it's still available but the 12+ hour series on the first world war was absolutely fascinating.
