Appears so - I've never met any of them but they come across as a really good group.

For sure Rammy! Hope to see you all soon. One of your members is my best mate from home so we are both hoping to get it sorted out sooner rather than later!

Good report. Fond memories of Kiwi having worked as a young officer for New Zealand Shipping many years ago. I think Wellington has changed though. It was a bit quiet back then. Did have one memorable weekend there when a skipper married a kiwi lass and we had the reception on board the ship. That was some pi** up

A great read. A list of all their names would be interesting. There can surely only be one Heath Phipps whom I taught at Colne Primet High School back in the day. Best Wishes to Heath and his family if he is reading this.

Yes, it is the same Heath Phipps. He's been out there a few years now.

There's a highlights video in the works and we ran interviews with the members to introduce themselves. I'm sure it'll be posted on here when it's ready!

And the aforementioned Mr Phipps tried to de-rail my interview by getting shirtless and dancing around behind the camera like a loon. Imagine he was a handful in school!

Recognise a couple of them faces. Sure I played football with or against at least one if not two of them. The lad with dark hair and the retro 70s shirt one. Used to see him a lot at games over here.

Phil Bird mentioned (during the Clarets+ coverage of the 2nd half v Villa) a package arriving for Woody yesterday morning from the NZ Clarets ...

Apparently some NZ Milk Chocolate ...

I wonder if that gave him the boost to score 😁

I have a cousin in Wellington who, whilst not exactly an avid fan, always listens out for the scores and sends an email "Woohoo" every time we win. He manages to glimpse a few seconds of tv highlights every time Wood scores. For those with long memories his father Cyril Ingham used to have a pharmacy
on Colne Road opposite where Lidl is now.

Funny when i think of it as we wanted to emigrtae to NZ about 26 years ago , now it was done on a points system and you needed 30 points and we came up short by 1 point .
Still ended up back in Ireland so it wasnt all bad .
