Jim Gannon gone at Stockport ...

Post by Clarets4me » Thu Jan 21, 2021 6:40 pm

Sacked after five years, with the Club lying 4th in the National League ..... rather intriguing Club statement, saying that the decision was not " based on results, but made for reasons to do with the Culture at the Club " ..... ;)

He's done a good job for them, I'm sure he won't be out of work for long, without knowing all the details it seems a bizarre decision, it'll be interesting to see if they now fall away from the promotion race.

Bought by the new owner, a local businessman, last Jan
Zero debt apparently
Gannon did say, when interviewed before the West Ham cup tie, that the owner was looking at exciting opportunities
Clearly those opportunities didn't include him

Dyche to Stockport ;)

Ganton has done wonders for them. They got bigged up in the cup, by the media, based on his loyalty and success.

They obviously want further failure!
