I can't remember who I was against but we had the same situation once where we couldn't play against 10 men.
This isn't a one off and I think it shows dyche up a bit that he has no other plan or much flexibility

When you see Mike Dean making a full length sprint of the pitch, at 80 minutes with more desire and energy than anyone else... it really does show how absolutely pathetic that was from our lads.
He's 52 by the way.

So, who predicted that from our series of "crucial" home fixtures that we would fail to win any of them?
Luckiest point we will get this season.
Woeful performance.

So glad we threw away the FA cup game for two shocking home performances against two of the bottom 3.

That’s the worst game I’ve seen since 1-1 at home to Luton, the 18th game without a win under Cotterill.
100% on Dyche that. He’s done incredible work for us but he should be bloody ashamed of serving that up.

Up there with the worst I've seen from us, ever. It's like Shang Tsung was in our dressing room before the game and stole all of our players souls.
Re: Terrible game
Bit embarrassing watching WBA trip up over their cocks again and again while trying to score looking like a pub team, but only managing a point against them.

With 3 efforts on target, that would have been impressive.
Poor game, another point on the board, often harder against 10 men, time to move on.

I dont know, to say they had 10 men for an hour, the had the better chances and were never troubled.
2nd easiest game for WBA of the season, the other was the home game..

It was sh**! Move on - We got a point. I have seen plenty worse. Conditions were blah de blah.
Neither team could string passes together.
Better result for us than them - felt like we were going to get done today but we didn't so lets crack on.

Really hard work to watch all right no one will disagree, but If you can get something while playing badly then things could be a lot lot worst.
Re: Terrible game
To be fair to Dyche here:
There was sod all he could do to affect the game from the bench - further evidence of just how poor it was to not recruit in January.
The ‘performances’ from far too many were simply way, way below what should be the minimum standard.
I’m not saying that Dyche is blameless but we couldn’t pass it, gave it away cheaply, struggled to manage them on the break and created bugger all.
That was an unacceptable performance - one where I failed to see the minimum expectation of maximum effort.
Where were the leaders on the pitch today!?
Lethargic, lazy, terrible display.

One of the worst games I've ever seen in the PL, zero quality
Re: Terrible game
Indeed, a terrible game against ten men and a team who have struggled to win many games this season.Ialboclaret wrote: ↑Sat Feb 20, 2021 4:40 pmI can't remember who I was against but we had the same situation once where we couldn't play against 10 men.

"No other plan"...given the level of injuries and no meaningful investment in the team in over a year, there will not be any other plan.
"Flexibility" ...unable to name any bench players who would be capable of influencing the game. Alan Pace needs to put some serious investment into the squad come summer. It's interesting how West Brom have brought in loan players some of whom were close to contributing to a shock win today. We have a threadbare squad yet we couldn't even attract loan players in January.

Point hard won we move up to 29
These are the games I am glad I didnt travel over 500miles round trip and stay overnight at the Rosehill to watch
Thankfully WBA are going down
The wind didn't help and our crap passing nearly threw away the one point
But 9 clean sheets for Nick

Re: Terrible game
Today was just the worst performance in a series of poor performances.
Regardless of injuries there was enough in that starting line up to beat a team as poor as West Brom.
I suppose a point is a bonus because only one team tried to win that game.

Re: Terrible game
That was painful to watch, can't think of one positive as we stole a point due to our luck and WBA being so poor.
Hated every minute of that performance

I've seen Sunday league games with more quality on show than that today.

Re: Terrible game
This is just an awful season all round. We carry a small squad for financial and footballing reasons, and with the season being so condensed that is bound to hit us very hard. I won't be too hard on the manager or the players, they have given some very good performances recently, but having so many matches and so few players means that they must be absolutely exhausted.
That's not an excuse, it's a reason. Given all of that, I thought there was a very good chance we might lose today, but we got a point and leave Albion in a position where they can't catch us. We're still in a very good position to stay up, and given all that has gone on this season, that will be a wonderful achievement, despite its being a painful process at times.

We were poor, conditions probably didn’t help. But we nicked a point from a game we should of lost today. I bet WBA are even more pi55ed off than us.

The problem is that there is no competition for places. Had we another game midweek, its likely the same 11 would start. Any other PL side would be making 4-5 changes
