I was on the open end that day but didn't they give us tickets in both ends or were the Burnley fans just charging across the pitch.

I was in the covered end. But yes, we had fans behind both goals.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Thu Jul 15, 2021 10:06 pmI was on the open end that day but didn't they give us tickets in both ends or were the Burnley fans just charging across the pitch.

Im thinking of heading over in the car, and will only have 1 child with me, so you're more than welcome of jumping in, it's only down the road.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Sat Jul 03, 2021 5:44 pmJust been looking at getting the train to Oldham and looks a right ballache.
Train to Manny then a tram to Oldham and then a bus or 20 minute walk.

Cheers Macca it's a great offer.
I don't know for definite who will be going yet. I'm taking at least one son if we're allowed.
It won't be until nearer the time I could give you an answer.
Re: ARTICLE: Pre-season games confirmed
Absolutely no problem at all, I've a car and a 9 seater mini bus so if both of mine come ( highly unlikely ) theyll still be plenty of room for you and your boy(s) unless you have 5 sonsQuickenthetempo wrote: ↑Fri Jul 16, 2021 11:31 amCheers Macca it's a great offer.

Re: ARTICLE: Pre-season games confirmed
There is another way. Train from Burnley to Mills Hill (not the Blackburn one) which is on the outskirts of Oldham. It takes about 35 mins. Its about 2 miles from the station, so walk or a quick taxi to the ground. Saves all that messing about.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Sat Jul 03, 2021 5:44 pmJust been looking at getting the train to Oldham and looks a right ballache.

No it doesn’t but we are going for a few drinks in the town centre first then getting a taxi up to the ground.

That probably would have been our path but with it being a 1pm kick off we decided to get there ASAP.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Fri Jul 16, 2021 3:14 pmI would have thought the groups going drinking would head to Manchester and then share a taxi from there.
Or does Oldham have decent pubs?
Looking at google maps the answer to ‘decent pubs’ isn’t a positive one but there is a Wetherspoons and a couple of others that open from 10am.

Does anyone know when ticket details for these friendlies will be announced or even if we will be allowed to attend? The Oldham game is now less than week away and nothing has been announced. Cutting it a bit fine if you ask me.
Re: ARTICLE: Pre-season games confirmed
Not been keeping up with this thread but have any more games been added to the four already listed in the opening post please.

Fans allowed into the friendlies?
Sorry if I have missed it but will fans be allowed to see the friendlies "live" ?

I knew I should have delved deeper !
Just seen this from CT on 3rd July:
"We’ve no idea as yet what the situation will be regards going to these games"
MODS, feel free to delete

Re: Fans allowed into the friendlies?
Yes but much has changed since then.
There is no reason why not, however, based on my experience yesterday, it was every 3rd seat and wait to be allowed out (although that bit didn't work)

Oldham have announced ticket news for their other friendlies?
When you sign up to play us is it conditional on adopting BFC’s “keep them in the dark” policy, delaying ticket news as long as possible & issuing lots of “due course” comms????

Re: ARTICLE: Pre-season games confirmed
Nothing to do with Burnley. As of close of business we’d had no information from Oldham.
Which games have they announced ticket news for? As far as I can see they have three home games. One, against Wigan, had to be played behind closed doors and as far as I can see there is no ticket info for the other against Crewe.

How hard can it be to impersonate a Forest fan?
Just go on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on about the European Cup and no one will notice

Re: ARTICLE: Pre-season games confirmed
With the government's opening up debacle I can see a lot more games being postponed late on and players getting isolated for being in close contact with positive cases. It could well be a messy season and one where we will need to have a deep squad for these eventualities.
Just look at the cricket recently.

Those in close contact won't need to isolate after mid August....... Re: ARTICLE: Pre-season games confirmed
just rang Forest ticket office to enquire what our allocation would be...he didn't know but asked others and he confirmed
he didn't know away allocation but we were definitely allocated 'a corner' of the ground - I was told to contact Burnley ticket office for details + capacity.
so that sounds promising!
they're selling adult tickets at £10 for season-ticket holders and £12 for non-season ticket holders

On the Forest seating plan home fans haven't got access to seats in the normal away section, so it all sounds a bit confusing!ClaretTony wrote: ↑Mon Jul 19, 2021 1:59 pmBurnley have reported that tickets are for home fans only.

Re: ARTICLE: Pre-season games confirmed
Yes surely that must put Burnley's visit to Bloomfield Road on Saturday in severe doubt at the very least, isn't it normally 10 days isolation for any positive cases and close contacts, if so I doubt they'll be able to field much of a side, I suppose they might be able to draft in some of their youth players at short notice if they really want to fulfil the fixture, but given it's not a competitive game it could well simply fall by the wayside.kentonclaret wrote: ↑Mon Jul 19, 2021 12:55 pmJust seen on the strap line on SSN that Blackpool have had to cancel their friendly with Rangers following a Covid outbreak.

And the isolation is from when you were in contact, not from when you were notified, so if you were in contact last Wednesday and only notified today, you would only need to isolate for next 5 days

Ah! right so the chances are it'll still go ahead, it wouldn't be ideal for our preparations to be disrupted, but I guess this is part & parcel of the game these days, and we'll just have to adapt as best we can like every other team.
