Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
Where is cornet ???? Its becoming the longest transfer ever
Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
Got to be Barnes, he looks so lost on the football field.
Other than rough them up, moan, foul, give the ball away , he doesnt really do much for the team in an attacking sense.
I was told 2 first teamers should come in if things go to plan, so hopefully that's the case.

Deeney would be a very short-term option, but if he's cheap, worth it for this season

Don’t think he even roughs anyone up anymore. Certainly not on the wind up here. Not that I ever amMACCA wrote: ↑Sat Aug 28, 2021 6:48 pmGot to be Barnes, he looks so lost on the football field.

CT never reveals sources, his word is taken and trusted.Lancasterclaret wrote: ↑Sat Aug 28, 2021 6:42 pmI'm sorry, but I've been a Burnley fan long enough to know that "hearing something" is not the same as having a good source
Now I'm not asking Local Cricketer to give up his source or anything like that, but plenty of stuff is spread with no basis at all
He also said Lennon was also only ever training with us for fitness, when a few ( including myself ) had heard the complete opposite.
Dyche even said in his Leeds pre match it was always a definite and on the cards as all wanted it.
People here different stuff off different people within the club, whether that be board member, security guard, player, coach or kit man.
They all know bits and peices and pass them on at various stages but mostly with the current situation or honest interactions.
That doesnt mean all will work out, as what's right in a morning, could be totally wrong come the evening
Ps 2 first teamers incoming, so just wait and enjoy them.
Be our best window in our history

I wouldn't shed any tears if we move Barnes on this window, yes he's been a fantastic servant for the club, but it's been evident for some time now that he's past his best, and we play much more football when Vydra partners Wood up top, if Ash plays whether directed by the gaffer or not we resort to longer balls much more readily, and I could accept that if it was effective, but it rarely is these days.MACCA wrote: ↑Sat Aug 28, 2021 6:48 pmGot to be Barnes, he looks so lost on the football field.

Well I was informed several weeks ago we were bringing in "2 genuine first teamers" we "would be very happy with the summers work" and "it should be our record window spend"Local cricketer wrote: ↑Sat Aug 28, 2021 6:50 pmDon’t think he even roughs anyone up anymore. And I'd put hard earnt money on this mans word, so still hoping that's the case.
No panic from me as the first 3 things he told me at the Blackpool friendly have happened before others even mentioned it.

Barnes looks like someone whose career is on the wane at the moment, though I thought he was good last week

Fully agree, v liverpool he really lacked the basics, and we can no longer carry players that just work hard.tiger76 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 28, 2021 6:56 pmI wouldn't shed any tears if we move Barnes on this window, yes he's been a fantastic servant for the club, but it's been evident for some time now that he's past his best, and we play much more football when Vydra partners Wood up top, if Ash plays whether directed by the gaffer or not we resort to longer balls much more readily, and I could accept that if it was effective, but it rarely is these days.
Be a decent championship forward, maybe a part ex or loan might be best for all

People are absolutely destroyed if they offer up what they’ve been ‘told’ or what they’ve ‘heard’.
There was one lad last year that was literally bullied off the board during the takeover.

Same guy again (saber?) saying he is a Burnley player all signed up. Let’s hope so. If that is the case we could see him presented tomorrow.

Can't wait for Dyche to give him 5 minutes near the end, when we've been 3-0 down since half time.

Fantastic news. Seems like the deal is done in the sense of ink leaving the pen. Several French journos are tweeting it.
Highly likely he is in England now - a private jet has done 3 runs today between Liverpool and Lyon, last leg arrived an hour ago. It’s either Cornet arriving or Shaqiri sending over his belongings I would guess

We wanted him, we worked hard on the deal, and now we might sign him.

Boden I’m sure is a nice guy but his transfer reporting is bloody useless. Just confirms things when they are almost certainly true because everyone else has already reported it!!!claretandy wrote: ↑Sat Aug 28, 2021 7:39 pmBoden on the ball as ever...

Just to say that the Grand Maxwel Cornet has always been a soldier in the mentality he has always fought in the team despite the ups and downs. He always gave his all and didn't pretend. The Lion King takes to the skies today will shake City nets.
Again and again as well as other PL team. He will take the Clarets to another level I almost feel like crying as I write this post.
Thanks Maxwel.
Honestly a Lyonnais.
Good to hear from a Lyon fan - a bit lost in translation...

To be fair he's put in a shitty spot, people go to him for inside news while giving out inside news will ruin his/the papers reputation with the club/people at the club.Iloveyoubrady wrote: ↑Sat Aug 28, 2021 7:43 pmBoden I’m sure is a nice guy but his transfer reporting is bloody useless. What a sorry shower of ***** the Burnley Express site is. Such a distance from its honest to goodness days following the Clarets.
They won't care of course, as long as the ad subscribers keep paying.
Not worth the paper they can be arsed to print it on. Bit like the town centre. We need your custom, but you need to pay to visit our charity and coffee shops.

They type of attitude that Dyche looks for, chuffed with this signing.

Introduced to the fans then before the game?
Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
Awesome news. Fair play to ALK, this is a signing for the first team that will definitely improve us.
I hope there is at least one more. As suggested above, Barnes is past his best and we'd be far more effective with another pacey striker.

You greeeeedy sod. SD mentioned 2 maybes and I think Cornet was one of them. I'll stick my neck out and say a maximum of 1 more signing, but it's 'touch and go'.
