Linking accounts
I'm trying to buy something from the club shop website. I haven't done this for years. It's asking me for the password I used when I last logged into my clubshop account, which I can't remember. I'm logged into my Burnley FC account, and my ticket account is linked, but the shop isn't. When I click on the forgotten details link, it just takes me to my profile. When I click on the forgotten password link, it only allows me to reset my Burnley FC account, but not the shop account.
Any bright ideas?

Re: Linking accounts
Wishing you the very best of luck. The club website and app have been atrociously clunky and difficult to use for many years now. Don’t get me started on the ticketing function!

Well I'm glad it's not just me. At least no one has suggested ringing them. It'd be quicker to drive the 6 hours there and back
The website is a joke. And the staff running the ticket office and club shop aren't much better either

I’m not sure it’s the general staff that are to be blamed. I’ve generally found them to go above and beyond. It’s their actual line setup. Again it’s another example of our Premier League club being run at Non-League level. Having said that, if I were to phone Halifax Town now for four tickets, I can’t imagine I’d have anyway near like the same problems. Burnley just let the phones ring out, literally!

Re: Linking accounts
Agree. I don't blame the general staff. Just those running it
Re: Linking accounts
I went to use it last week to buy a matchday ticket for a friend and it didn't recognise my email address the very same one that the club had used twice that week to send me offers and information, pointless contacting club .
Re: Linking accounts
I’d hoped that this would be one of the areas in which we would see huge improvements, under the new ownership. Very little to suggest as much, so far.

Re: Linking accounts
Sorry I can't give you a solution but I'm sure the the way the online services are being run at present is costing the club a lot of money in ticket sales and purchasing merchandise. I nearly gave up the other day trying to purchase Tottenham tickets.
Re: Linking accounts
If it is as bad as some suggest, then it is the general staffs fault. They should be aware of the problem, and make sure the issues are reported and dealt with. If they don't let those who need to know, know.. Nothing will ever changeRoosterbooster wrote: ↑Sat Oct 09, 2021 11:53 amAgree. I don't blame the general staff. Just those running it

Re: Linking accounts
It’s horrendous. We have a head of esports, digital & data and it’s his responsibility. Don’t hold your breath waiting for him to respond though.
Such a shame that our ticket office staff have been lumbered with this mess.

Re: Linking accounts
Do you have a google account by any chance because if so Google saves all of your passwords for any site accessed using google as the browser. In google go to settings, manage your google account, protect your account. Your passwords are stored in there.

Re: Linking accounts
A bit harsh criticising the TO staff. You seem to be assuming that they haven't reported it! How do you expect them to rectify/deal with what is obviously an IT issue?
Re: Linking accounts
Not harsh at all.. All staff have a responsibility to make things work smoothly and not just put up with infective systems.
If the poor IT systems mean that the staff cannot do their job properly, then the ticket office staff should inform their management, who in turn, take the matter to those who can change matters, and keep doing so until the problem is fixed. If it continues to be an issue, ticket office management need to push harder, it seems to have been going on for years.

Re: Linking accounts
Well I emailed earlier today. From what I've read I'd be surprised if I get an email before the next game I can get to which I think is 6 weeks away. I suspect the management already know about the issues, particularly in the ticket office as I've seen them come up against complaining customers too many times.

I always find the ticket office staff really brilliant to deal with.

Re: Linking accounts
On a slightly different tack but still on the accounts subject, could somebody please tell me how you find out your club points total, the one you need to look at when they print the priority details for ticket applications. Cheers.
Re: Linking accounts
Well I never knew that, just done it and yes can view all passwords for all sites and apps, nice one! That would have saved me £19 in trying to get thru to the ticket office or was it the reception that charge? I forget now but ring and after about 20 seconds a recorded message says "Sorry but we haven't been able to connect you at this time due to a large amount of calls please ring back later" then goes dead.
Re: Linking accounts
Log on. Click Tickets. It should then show Hi (your name) at the top. Click on this and it should give you a drop down list and Loyalty is near the bottom. Click on it and it should give your Loyalty Points total.evensteadiereddie wrote: ↑Sun Oct 10, 2021 5:55 pmOn a slightly different tack but still on the accounts subject, could somebody please tell me how you find out your club points total, the one you need to look at when they print the priority details for ticket applications. Re: Linking accounts
This is getting ridiculous. I messaged the other email. The reply says look at the FAQs. If that doesn't answer the question (which it doesn't) then I need to send another email..... TO THE SAME EMAIL THAT JUST SENDS AN AUTOMATIC REPLY TELLING ME TO LOOK AT THE FAQs!!!!
