That late goal is a sickener in many ways, if Leeds had lost today we could have guaranteed our safety with a win at Villa, now whatever it'll go to the final day, and yes we'll need a positive result at Villa, ideally 3 pts, but certainly at least 1, otherwise it's out of our hands assuming Leeds win at Brentford.

I keep writing this, but that is not definitely true. It is not statistically a big enough sample of games, like saying asking 38 customers an opinion on something is a big enough polling sample. It may be true, and people and pundits say it conveniently, but saying it just because it is over 38 games doesn’t make it definitive.

Personally, I think we deserve to stay up regardless, luck or bad decisions haven’t evened out. Leeds and Everton deserve less than we do. Doesn’t mean they will get it though. We’ll have to do it the hard way.

The manner of Leeds’ result was perhaps more sickening than the result itself. Had Brighton equalised in injury time I think we’d all have been pretty happy with today’s results.
