Gifton Noel-Williams
Just watching BBC one and Gifton Noel-Williams is managing a bunch of young footballers trying to get a pro contract.
Looks quite different from his playing days. Seems a top bloke.
Still reckon that’s the worst penalty I’ve witnessed live. Great hat trick at Barnsley though.

Gifted Noel Edmonds!

One of the coaches on the programme is also Lola Ogunbote, who is Director of Football for the Ladies Team.

Re: Gifton Noel-Williams
Was the rumour he had arthritis in his knees true or was it just made up because he was that bad ?

Sorry, but the hat trick against Barnsley was at home.PremierLeagueClass wrote: ↑Tue Aug 22, 2023 11:35 pmJust watching BBC one and Gifton Noel-Williams is managing a bunch of young footballers trying to get a pro contract.

We were 2 -1 down and a few of us put money on us to win at half time, back when there were kiosks on Turf.
We won a few quid and had a great Tuesday night

Highlights from the night. Can't believe our attendance growth in 15 years.

Don't remember Gifton being so lethal. Good luck to him.

Just seeing these sorts of team sheets from those years makes me have to pinch myself to believe the progress we’ve made in the last 15-20 years.

Couldn’t believe I missed that night thru being away with work………..my son had gone on and texted me as the goals went in, and essentially to say oh dear, Giftons on……………….
The rest……..
Is history!!!
Met him out in Austria pre season - seemed a great guy…………

Re: Gifton Noel-Williams
Had a bad time at Burnley really, barring that hat trick game.
Shame really, was fairly consistently decent at that level.

Re: Gifton Noel-Williams
Gifton would probably have spent his career in the top flight if he’d been blessed with better knees.ClaretsPadiham wrote: ↑Wed Aug 23, 2023 8:53 pmWas the rumour he had arthritis in his knees true or was it just made up because he was that bad ?
He never did too much because he struggled to run but check out his touch in the clips of him available.

Quality from James O'Connor and Wade Elliott for the equaliser! Thanks for sharing.mybloodisclaret wrote: ↑Wed Aug 23, 2023 11:24 pmHighlights from the night. Can't believe our attendance growth in 15 years.

Re: Gifton Noel-Williams
Gifton’s Wikipedia page details his injury and following arthritis. He was destined for the top tier before that.
Re: Gifton Noel-Williams
Some gobshites on it. Good job Gifton's patient. Imagine cocking up a drill and then mouthing off afterwards to someone giving you your last chance. Thick as owt. Decent telly though.
