So who do you think wasn’t ineffective against Everton ?
And what exactly would you expect from any player coming on in the 82nd minute in a game where we are being totally dominated all over the pitch ?……let alone a player who had been injured most of the season and hardly kicked a ball.

How do you register your interest? Call them up and say “yep, put me on the list, don’t want to miss out!”

Re: Actual Transfer News - NO BICKERING or pointless debates...
France Bleu Herault says Burnley have made a second offer of 12m euros plus 2 million bonus and 15% sell on clause for Maxime Esteve. Apparently Montpellier are still negotiating. The manager said nothing will happen before Monday. Not sure what the bonus is for, presumably if Burnley stay up.
The pundits suggested that he can still improve in his passing and heading. They seemed to think that Kompany has made him his main target and that might sway the player to play for a 'hero' in his own position.

Watched him today in a very poor quality game. Montpellier played 5-2-3 (he was the left of the centre halves) so it was difficult to judge him. He was erratic with his passing and didn't get chance to show his aerial ability or what pace he has.dibraidio wrote: ↑Sun Jan 28, 2024 10:36 pmFrance Bleu Herault says Burnley have made a second offer of 12m euros plus 2 million bonus and 15% sell on clause for Maxime Esteve. Again he is 21 so will have a lot of growing to do (not just physically).

That's pretty much what I saw but I wasn't watching closely for the full match. It is a very small sample. I was excited by his rumour and his history but hie performance today didn't make him stand out. I think VK knows more about it than I do. I'll trust his judgement.Goody1975 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 28, 2024 11:16 pmWatched him today in a very poor quality game. Re: Actual Transfer News - NO BICKERING or pointless debates...
According to L’equipe Christopher Wooh has declined interest from Burnley
Mercato: Wooh (Rennes) declined an interest in Burnley
Back in Rennes after the elimination of Cameroon in the round of 16 of the CAN, axial defender Christopher Wooh received some approaches from English clubs, especially Burnley. An interest that he declined. He will probably continue the season in Rennes.
Starting during the CAN with Cameroon, author of the goal of the qualification for the round of 16 against Gambia (3-2, January 23), Christopher Wooh is back in Rennes after the elimination against Nigeria on Saturday (0-2). He will find a team whose dynamics have changed and competition with Warmed Omari in a position of right axial defender, which Rennes wanted to strengthen at the beginning of the transfer window.
But the Breton club delayed. AliduSeidu arrives rather from Clermont to play right lateral, even if he can also evolve in the axis. Omari has raised his head and Wooh (22 years old, under contract until 2026) will most likely stay. He had some leads in England, but he rejected an interest of Burnley, 19th in the Premier League, who should join Montpellier's Maxime Estève

Infos #BurnleyFC :
Clarets that are still looking for a left back until the end of the window appreciates the profile of Jayden Oosterwolde from #Fenerbahçe.
Able to play central back, the recruitment staff likes his versatility but won’t be able to make more than a loan with an option to buy due to budget restrictions imposed by owners for this #transfer window… #twitterclarets #Fener #mercato #PL

Re: Actual Transfer News - NO BICKERING or pointless debates...
I'd be pretty amazed if we were in for Forbs I watch Ajax quite often as my partner is an Ajax fan (and her parents are season ticket holders). He's exciting but flatters to deceive and unless Ajax are willing to take a massive hit, I doubt we could get him at a price that would allow us to flip him in a year or two. Even if he tears up the champ next year, would that make him suddenly worth 20m plus?Roosterbooster wrote: ↑Sun Jan 28, 2024 6:55 pmI think you're right. The article I read said a loan would be authorised only if it included a buy option
In the short term, it's difficult to see how a player that's struggled in the eredivise (albeit in an extremely raw Ajax side) is going to make much of an impact in a relegation battle and surely we have more pressing priorities?!? Still, we do seem to love a young winger....
Still, it would give me something to discuss with the in laws!

BURNLEY WANT MILLWALL TEEN SENSATION
Burnley have made an official approach to Millwall over the availability of 18 year old midfielder Romain Esse.
The youngster has made 15 championship appearances this season scoring 1 goal in those.
It is believed Esse would be open to making a late-window move away from south London
Hull City have also made an approach.
