I wasn’t for believing £20m for Tella but looking on transfermarkt at Leverkusens Summer window and only a net spend of €13m it is possibly correct. Alonso has done some good business there.

Dundee have loan re-signed Owen Beck from Liverpool. Their LB until his recall. I wonder how this will affect Owen Dodgson, who started at the weekend and gave away a poor pen.

the one where clearly he won the ball, staggering by the VAR to give a pen for it, the Dee fans were rightly annoyed by it.Tricky Trevor wrote: ↑Tue Jan 30, 2024 3:09 pmDundee have loan re-signed Owen Beck from Liverpool. He’s also altering the way we play after taking into account the advice from this boards experts, it will be a rolling low block with an equal rolling high block with Bayer as centre forward & playing a static 1 - 1 -9. Hi subs will be picked from the under 16’s.daveisaclaret wrote: ↑Tue Jan 30, 2024 3:50 pmDoes Kompany not know that Benson shirks out of training continuously?

Re: January transfer window rumours.
New signing in Esteve? Benson staying put for now? What’s not to like if both stories are true?
I really hope Benny gets a fair crack on that right wing assuming he’s fit and ready to go. Sub appearances might well be the way forward with him much like last season.

Great news if true re: Benson and Esteve. Don't know much about Esteve at all but can't harm to have another option at the back. I wasn't quite ready for us to part with Manuel Benson yet. Hopefully this is a turning point for him and we see him more around the matchday squad.

Some absolutely ludicrous reactions to rumours on here.
Hopefully those people will be back on praising Kompany and the club for doing the right thing if he stays after deadline day tomorrow.

It is, 11.00pm on Thursday 1st February
Re: January transfer window rumours.
I'd read midnight... But either way I won't be staying up
Re: January transfer window rumours.
When he was being sold it was all Benson kopps out of training and isn't good enough stuff. Now he's staying it's the "right thing" to do. In terms of reactions, the nonsense we've had from some on here trying to justify the clubs position on potentially selling Benson has been by far the biggest issue, way worse than people getting upset he might be sold. Posters falling over themselves to say he's not good enough, doesn't work in training etc, just to justify the clubs position- it's been a disgrace to be honest.
This isn't aimed at you particularly, you may have said the same before this news came out.
I'm just wondering how many who were saying it was the right move to sell him (because thats what the club looked like they were doing), are now going to also say it's the right thing to keep him.
Also just to further add I'm not sure it deserves "praise" keeping him or not. The club was clearly interested In selling him, but they couldn't get the interest for the reported fee by the looks of it. It'll be praiseworthy if Kompany actually uses him and gets somthing decent out of him after giving him barely a kick for 6 months.

I’m amazed we haven’t even been linked with one right full back. It doesn’t matter who joins or stays, if we have to watch Vitinho at right back for the next 5 months we’ll be down by the end of March.

Its unbelievable. It's such a glaring weakness in the side, you can't have such a substandard player in this league and get away with it. If we had a good right back i think we could fairly argue that we had a genuine premier league standard first 11. Its incredibly frustrating.Jakubs Tash wrote: ↑Tue Jan 30, 2024 7:24 pmI’m amazed we haven’t even been linked with one right full back. Re: January transfer window rumours.
At least we have a solid left back, at right back we have no options that are anywhere near the standard required. First things first should be to have players that are good enough in every position, the depth in positions would be nice but surely must be secondary. Delcroix and probably this new guy can fill in at left back, or Roberts/Vitinho when desperate.Holtyclaret wrote: ↑Tue Jan 30, 2024 7:33 pmI’d say left back is a tad more glaring given we have several options at rb
We arent giving ourselves a chance if we play Vitinho for the rest of the season.

2-4 options at right back.
It’s obvious that left back is more of a priority

Vincent loves Vitinho. Can’t see him seeing right back as a priority in this window.
