if we had conceded that the meltdown would be off the chart, seriously poor goal to concede

Re: Brentford v City
Also shows that you don’t need to play 20 passes in your own half, and surprisingly if the balls at the other end of the pitch the opposition don’t generally score,I wonder if it’ll catch on.
Re: Brentford v City
Shows what a move and a bit of confidence can do. Maupay had become a bit of a laughing stock at Everton, looks a different player now.

Wouldn’t have thought the City fans would be dancing in the street.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Mon Feb 05, 2024 8:25 pmif we had conceded that the meltdown would be off the chart, seriously poor goal to concede

What a difference a keeper can make. Made some super saves and has an assist
Re: Brentford v City
Brentford keeper having a blinder. City should be out of sight

Re: Brentford v City
They did a piece on MNF before kick off highlighting how poorly the keeper compares to Raya. Apparently he sat down in 17th place on stats for PL keepers this season. Obviously tonight is his night (thus far).

Another cock up by Emerson and nearly another Bees goal.
Re: Brentford v City
Now Bees keeper lets one go through his hands

Re: Brentford v City
I think Brentford would have deserved to be 1-0 up at half time, defending and goalkeeping is all part of the game after all, but it's also fair that City have scored given their dominance.
Re: Brentford v City
Just watching the half time review,Toney does to Ake what Luton did the Trafford and not even considered a foul.

Re: Brentford v City
Doesn’t really make much difference to us now, but 9 of Brentford’s next 10 games are against sides in the top half of the table.
They also have to go to Luton and Everton after that.
It’s a tough run in.

City being their beastly self and not letting Brentford have the ball.

Ederson clattered Ake, struggle to foul your own playerBordeauxclaret wrote: ↑Mon Feb 05, 2024 9:41 pmHow’s this clown not given a foul against Ederson there?
That said, he'd probably give it at the other end

Not sure you can claim it’s not a foul if you take out your own player as well the opposition player.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Mon Feb 05, 2024 9:43 pmEderson clattered Ake, struggle to foul your own player

I've never seen a foul given when you've booted your own player (not to say it hasn't, I just can't recall one)Bordeauxclaret wrote: ↑Mon Feb 05, 2024 9:48 pmNot sure you can claim it’s not a foul if you take out your own player as well the opposition player.

Re: Brentford v City
I’ve seen plenty given for taking out an opposition player, which in this case was Pinnock.
