Both Leeds and Leicester look far better than we were last season.
Both want to attack with pace and purpose.
We looked good knocking it about round the back most weeks, but it's what happens in the opposition half that counts.
Leeds would need 27 goals in their last 12 games to better our goals tally from last season.
Not sure it matters how quick the tempo is

Oh we scored plenty, but I never watched us thinking we were well coached in the final third. Around the back was superb. But we had never seen it before, I'm bored of it now all through the top 2 divisions.
Genuinely, did you watch us last season?

I don’t like this argument about the quality of the Championship: it’s always a high standard. However, it’s the quality on show in the Premier League each and every progressive season, which is just getting greater. The difference is chasm-like.
This is a fabulous game but both teams would be slaughtered in the Premier League. Sure, the players on show tonight look high-calibre. But think on…Meslier looks a very competent goalkeeper. In the Premier League last season, he couldn’t catch a cold…Junior Firpo is on many Leeds fans’ most improved player last…yet list season (at a hugely higher level), he looked like a school child kicking a ball on a back street. It’s just a massive, massive step up.
Leeds & Leicester would be able to hold their own with the teams in & around the bottom half. They would get "slaughtered" from the top sides cut to ribbons. I wouldn't fancy our chances against either currently even though in a league higher. We'll soon find out next season how they'll (least with Leicester) get on in the PL. The top sides are getting stronger in the PL but some of the more established clubs eg palace, Brentford are actually sliding closer to relegation but staying up because the bottom 3 are so poor.

They've missed a few now, should be 2 or 3 up.
Yep, they should be.
But both defences have had some dodgy moment.
Roberts.
You wouldn't believe it

The average "quality" of player in the Championship may be lower, but the end result is, more often than not, much more entertaining games.

Yes, I came off a few games wishing Vinny would do more coaching in the final 3rd. All possession.
Preston away was the worst.

Leicester are on course to finish 10-15 points higher than us last season.
If it finished 2-1 Leicester are on course to finish on 105, 4 points ahead of us. We had the massive drop off when the title was won, as may they.
They really aren’t anything different to what we were. But their Premier League nous may prove more useful the season after.

He started 8 of the first 9 games and wasn’t very good. Vitinho may not have been very good either, but there’s not been much difference.
Not sure we miss him at this level.

And when you do make it 2-0 a bad decision rules it out, but you're right, they should have put it to bed.
Leicester have two points more than we did at the same stage last season.

Agree. A shame. But the manager clearly thinks they would have failed so really who are we to doubt him? We can see Beyer, Cullen and Brownhill have struggled, to name just 3 examples.

Really pleased for ex Claret Andy Gray with his lad getting the winner.
Brings back memories but it was the departure of him and others, and the arrival of the next crop like Paterson and Thompson, which sent us to where we now are.

We've been astronomically abysmal this season but let's not pretend we were anything other than immense last season. Championship pace-setters Leicester have already lost double the amount we did all campaign. Yes we kept the ball as a priority but we also sliced through sides in sumptuous fashion. Once we got going, from back to front we dominated sides week after week.

I went on that game and thought it was a decent point against a tough Championship team - saw a bit of promise there. 12 shots in the game, hardly shot shy away from home.

Yes, I think that the only thing that is indisputable is that the gulf between the top two divisions is huge.
Last season's rebuild worked better than anyone could possibly have imagined. This season's not so much. It will be interesting to the what the turnover of players is like over the summer.
