Mate I've been pro-Muric since preseason but Trafford's not to blame for the goals today, if he saves either it's a mega save you'd back the first chance every time and second was a flash volley.
Re: West Ham United V The Clarets 2pm KO
How much space are we giving to Ings?

Bringing Brownhill on for Bruun Larson at halftime was just stupid.

Oh my word! Berge with the strangest of headers.
He then shows real composure setting up Browny. A decent game.

Berge should have hit that. Not sure why he’s laid it off for Brownhill

Re: West Ham United V The Clarets 2pm KO
Ings scores two (one ruled out) and intercepts a tap in for one of ours in his own box...
Re: West Ham United V The Clarets 2pm KO
My only comment on today, Brownhill makes our team worse. I'd have taken a point before kick off, feels like a defeat though.
Re: West Ham United V The Clarets 2pm KO
Phew, after all that. Should have scored ourselves at the end.

Oh well.
Not sure how I feel about that one.
Think we were lucky not to lose, but that second half was everything long with us this season.

Re: West Ham United V The Clarets 2pm KO
Well, how many times have I told players, been told and heard the relevance of, "Keep it tight for the 1st 10!" When leading at HT.
We came out sloppy and gave them the lift they needed. In the end, we were saved by VAR, twice.

Re: West Ham United V The Clarets 2pm KO
In our 2 games against the Hammers we had 6 pts after 85 minutes, and are lucky to end up with 1. It speaks volumes for our season that this is the norm.
And what have we learnt since the home game, absolutely bugger all. Hang your head Kompany.

The club might finally release the information on next season’s season tickets now we’ve picked up another point.

Re: West Ham United V The Clarets 2pm KO
Good performance yet again let down by the ineptitude of the defence. We have no hope when you’re defending like O’Shea and Esteve do. One ball dinked over their head or round the side and they’re ball watching every time.
Cullen, Berge and Fofana all very good today.

Point more than I thought we'd get but losing a 2 goal lead sums us up this season. Least we're not bottom...

Jayrod and Benny on at 2 1 to stretch WHU a disappointing result in a game we should have won

I'd have taken a point at kick off, West Ham are no mugs. At least it gives us something to build on.

Re: West Ham United V The Clarets 2pm KO
We could have won that.
We matched a team playing in Europe.
Much better performance.
Obviously you'll all focus on the negatives, that's what you all do.

Joint second for saves in the PL at 106 saves. He's not had a great season, but he's stopped a lot of shots.CoolClaret wrote: ↑Sun Mar 10, 2024 4:01 pmJust making the observation that a 'shot stopper' would win you the points in games with erm... shot stopping.

Finally some luck as that was a nailed on pen for West Ham. We are a team that don't know how to win.
At least we are off the bottom.

Re: West Ham United V The Clarets 2pm KO
Got away with offside goal when not getting tight to Antonio, so let's compound this by sitting off Ings. Playing three centre halves means you should be man marking your opposition players.
Too often this season as per the recent home game (where the opposition scored from the edge of the box) we are too fixated with marking space. You give Premier League players too much time and you get punished.
