Re: Mental health
"As a typical bloke I thought I could power through it, I thought I was invincible but unfortunately these things have a habit of catching up with us!" Very succinctly put and so very true. Good luck getting back into playing football - knowing this board when it's at its very best it wouldn't surpr...

Re: Steve Cotterill
Best of luck to Steve Cotterill. I met him while he was here and he could be a 'bristly' character and not a bloke to be crossed in a hurry but I think that was just his slightly guarded way and he always struck me as someone with a real love of the game so I'm glad to see him back, especially after...

Used to love Annie Nightingale on the Old Grey Whistle Test, by her own admission the BBC initially booked her as the 'token female' yet looking back now she ended up in no time at all with as much credibility and respect as absolutely anyone in the business.
RIP Annie.

Re: Why do footballers lift up their shorts?
Robbie Fowler used to wear some device to splay his nostrils apparently to give himself extra breathing capacity. Around that time I was watching a game on the Prairie and there was a player running along with his beer belly wobbling over about a 40" waist who was wearing one.

Here is the video I found of Hedman's 'world-class' saves. Unfortunately, it's filmed on a laptop with a potato, but I've set the video to play from the two free kicks. https://youtu.be/IrDie7BHgvM?si=LI29lPbf3mYKgB29&t=232 Definitely a case of my memory playing tricks on me with this one. Re: What can I do with a BFC single share?
ICL - it certainly doesn't seem 'daft' at all, as many on the thread have said, it's more an emotional or sentimental thing than anything to do with finance, You own a share and it's only right that that is acknowledged. 3 years waiting for someone to do something to get your name on the shareholder...

What can I do with a BFC single share?
I have been sorting through some old paperwork and came across my certificate for one single BFC share which I received as part of the Barry Kilby free season ticket deal in 2009 (if I remember correctly). I know there was some kind of 'buy back' deal from the new owners a couple of years ago but ag...

Great to see that again for the first time since I watched it on the day from the Bee Hole End. Just checked on this site's fixture lists and was surprised to see the attendance was just 16,916. Well before my time, but I do wonder how on earth they used to regularly get 40,000+ in on the Turf? Bigg...

Re: Toner cartridge - Buy genuine one or a compatible copy?
Yes, and I suppose that could be said for fake/copy parts for just about anything. Even when I needed a new filter for my Shark vacuum cleaner with the 'genuine' part (a bit of plastic and foam) priced at a king's ransom I went for a 'compatible' one and the POS just kept detaching itself in use as ...

Toner cartridge - Buy genuine one or a compatible copy?
The 4 toner cartridges on my Brother laserjet printer need replacing and I was shocked to find that it's £150, but after a quick look online it's possible to buy compatible cartridges for around £50 (there are the inevitable 'mixed bag' of reviews for these) and I do recall installing copies of HP c...
