Re: Myth Buster @ Old Trafford
I'd have liked to have seen Casermiro and Garnacho both booked for BLATANT dives, but aside from that - thought the ref had a good game. This really needs to be clamped down on - VAR actively encourages diving. Since the introduction of VAR, dives are no longer punished with a yellow card. This giv...

Re: Momentum = Great Escape
I had written us off months ago as we looked hopeless and weren’t learning from mistakes. The team is clicking and whilst the mistakes are still there at both ends of the pitch, the overall performances are at the level we need to compete at this level. Before today I thought 7 more points would be ...

Re: Man Utd (a)
I don’t get why he would drop Taylor? I would expect him to deal with Antony fairly comfortably. I suppose you could say that this is an attacking approach though as Vitinho will get forward so perhaps this is a ploy to take advantage of some of Man Utd’s more passive players (Rashford’s absence may...

On paper I think Luton have the easiest fixtures by far. Wolves and West Ham away along with Everton and Fulham at home who will probably all be safe and have nothing to play for. It doesn't necessarily mean that Luton will stay up but I would rather have their fixtures than ours or Forest's As wou...

Luton win 2 or 3 games and it wont matter what we do. Everyone is mentioning Forest when no-one his discussed Luton, it's 2 from 3, Burnley, Luton and Forest Only because we have absolutely no control over Luton, whereas we face Forest on the last day of the season so only have to gain a point more...

draws aren't good enough at the minute, a win would be huge for confidence going into the last 3, I would probably start believing it was possible which wont be good for my health. I expect it will be the same side and I'm going for a 2v1 with Foster scoring both Not sure about that. I would expect...

SMManager.jpg How's about this for an unpaid job! My team were the only team to take a point off them this season in the Birmingham County League's over 63s (14 games) as they romped to the title. This is suspicious. Looks like Atwell is trying a bit too hard to prove that he’s not corrupt, just really bad at his job.clarethomer wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2024 6:52 amhttps://x.com/nffc_epl/status/178324631 ... 7GxGzXZPSg

Re: Premier League refs and the teams they support
Forest did have a point in their statement about refs reffing teams who are contextual rivals with those they support. For example, if I was to be a biased ref, I’d be more likely to show that bias for or against a team that directly impacted the success of Burnley than Blackburn Rovers.

How far back in Ref blunders do we go? ROI v France for a place in the WC? 1966 ball over the line or Forest v Burnley this season? It's true that Sheff Utd could have been 2 or 3-0 up at half time, but that would have meant them scoring all of their chances and us missing all of ours. That's not how football works. I don’t see the clamour for ex-pro’s, they often don’t know the laws. I don’t know the answer to the poor quality of referees in this country, but as far as VAR is concerned, it should be manned by specialist video referee’s, not the on-field ref’s mate who’s being given a rest-day. Being a VAR requ...
