Re: Internationals 26-3-24
I think the ref just wanted to send someone off. His studs might have got the ankle but it looked a soft one for a sending off.

They told Sky that they were checking for offside so couldn't have the screen on but Mike Dean didn't believe it.

Murray, well known for his cheating, makes his opinion of no consequence. It’s an embarrassment that he is paid for his views. It was obviously 50/50 in any case I remember the penalty he 'won' and missed at their place. He moved his foot in between the defenders and went down like a sack of spuds.

I think they're often instructed not to flag for that kind of thing now. Rightly or wrongly, if you're going to have the linesman make the decision you may as well wait for var. Was it my imagination or was there a completely blatant back pass that the keeper picked up towards the end of the second...

It's the confidence he has when he is passing out the ball. I've yet to see him panic when he does have the ball. Almost gave me a heart attack last season a few times but he didn't bat an eyelid.

We are a side that spends most of the time on the back-foot. To score goals we need to be very quick indeed in the PL at counter-attacking.Its something we are shocking at. The bit on the Home Office was interesting. We have had to wait ages previously, on the odd occasion we signed a foreigner. They come to us now the day after the signing. He also said it was now easy to get the paperwork done, so how the hell do Rovers keep messing it up.

Would they be that good if they went down? They would have players wanting to leave and would have to sell due to their finances, especially if we put in, and win, a claim against them. I doubt if they made any money on sales they would be able to use much of it for signings.

With the way that went we might as well have waited until deadline day to sell him.claptrappers_union wrote: ↑Fri Feb 09, 2024 9:56 pmThe thing with that is that he was signed early in the window. Newcastle could've activated his release clause on Deadline Day. Instead, we were given time to find a replacement in Weghorst.
