Re: Today’s Football
During the interview with Liam Rosenior after the Sheff We’d v Hull match mention was made of the possibility of Zaroury joining Hull on loan but Rosenior declined to acknowledge the substance of that comment. Maybe there’s some truth in that statement!!

Patrick Vieira and VK are good pals so the rumours surrounding Diallo and Strasbourg may have some legs

There’s some mention on Twitter that we may be interested in Benjamin Mandy. Very hard to find anything definitive so don’t know if this has any legs or it is simply a link to us because of his former association with VK

I wonder if McNally and Thomas are the 2 players being offered to Coventry as makeweights to get the Gyokeres deal over the line. They’re actively looking to improve their back line and Thomas had an excellent season for Barnsley, last year, fitting into the centre and right back positions. They’re b...

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
I really like the look of this young lad. A Belgian acquaintance of mine says he really composed when under pressure and that even in a congested midfield he can find the time and space to provide telling passes which opens up the opposition’s defence. Apparently he’s equally good at breaking up pla...

I remember young Kevin’s performance against a young gunners side put out by Arsene in the 2008/09 League Cup, quarter finals. 2 goals from him as we won 2-0.Nicklaus Bendtner,Carlos Vela,Fran Merida and Lucas’s Fabianski, from memory. That was followed up by an amazing 2 legged semi-final against S...

Cavtat is a superb place to act as your base. Just around the corner from the airport but you aren’t affected by planes landing and taking off. Stayed at the Hotel Croatia on top of the hill overlooking the town. Eating in their outside restaurant on an evening, you’re overlooking Cavtat’s port which...

Can’t quite remember but it may have been Bradford City away in the league cup. 2-0 down ,from memory at h/t and the second half was the “Terry Cochrane show”. Think we won 3-2 at the end

Agree with the Reading comment. So how good must they have been in that season. Seem to remember we played them at home on the last day of that season and were beaten 3-0. They looked a very good outfit. If we are comparable with them then we’re clearly heading in the right direction

Re: In the overall scheme I think this may be a positive
Agreed, one of the most disappointing aspects of a poor second half display was how quickly we lost our shape when we were put under pressure. All credit to Utd but we stopped defending from the front and once again a couple of our young players showed a lack of composure and temperament and allowed...

It was also great to see a Burnley player attacking the back post and scoring. This isn’t something we’ve been accustomed to seeing in recent times so that aspect was especially pleasing

I see that Verda has announced on his Instagram account that he won’t be taking up Burnley’s offer of another contract and is returning to Czechoslovakia to complete his rehabilitation.

It was a very interesting observation and my comments weren’t intended as a criticism. After the Leeds away fixture I thought our season was on a downward slope. However, the players efforts over the last few games have changed my outlook. They’re clearly aligned and up for the fight. The change of p...

Re: Some stats for our central midfield pairings
Very interesting stats John but I think there are also other factors to consider, such as, our front 2 pairing in each of those games. For, example Wout is much better with the ball played into his feet than Wood was. His link up play with our other forwards and midfield has allowed us to adopt a mu...

This produced some interesting perspective from a clarets point of view. According to SBO.net...
