It is the hope that kills you!
Almost think we probably do not want to survive. Mass clear out and start again post drop.
What do we do if we stay up? Another £100m on players that may not deliver. Exactly how Sunderland ended up dropping like a stone, scrapped survival too many times.

Re: Air Source Heat Pump Systems
The rush to save the planet is interesting to say the least. Green cars! That weigh a tonne due to the size of the batteries that will need to be replaced in a few years and we strip mine Africa for the resources and still burn fossil fuels for the electric?!? Solar panels that will need replacing i...

Re: Barclays
Unfortunately that is the problem, it costs the bank to give the overdraft facility as they need to hold capital just in case it is used. If you never use it costs the bank money as that capital can’t be deployed else where

Re: Barclays
They are all as bad as each other though. Halifax account I moved house so went on line and filled in the form and sent it off to change the address. Answer came back that they didn’t have my signature on file so couldn’t accept it I would have to ho into a branch with 3 types of I’d including photo...

Re: Barclays
Was my first bank account but moved to first direct, never closed it but 2 years later when I switched job my old employer took wages back out of the old account! Went to see the bank to explain the problem and they pretty much just said no issue because an employer could take back over paid wages!?...

More like I will buy your car for the engine plus money I secure on the rest of the car by taking a loan.

The analogy is a bit off because the company ‘Burnley’ is not the same as the individual ‘Garlic’

Re: Relegation.
Wasn’t lack of investment just poor investment Gibson, Vydra and Hart will have cost a fair bit. Just didn’t work out, a club of this size with the budget we have just can’t have as many passengers as we did. Walters and Wells on the books from the previous season as well. Should have targeted poten...

Re: Interest Rate Up
In the below example the commercial bank extended a new loan (increased white stack) and credited the consumer’s account with a new deposit (increased red stack). This is literally new ‘‘real economy’’ money created out of thin air and is what contributes towards inflation, rather than central bank...

Re: Interest Rate Up
The example is correct however it is not new money, it is money the bank already holds in either customer deposits or another form of money (gov lending or securitisation). The bank can only create money (lend) if it has funds to lend. Google Molo finance, new (relatively) player in the market out o...

only spent 4 years in the 70’s and didn’t work in banking then.
Fractional reserve banking isn’t what you think it is.
It is also not the most exciting or interesting thing in the world, unless you live and breath it like me so wouldn’t expect it to be common knowledge

Re: Interest Rate Up
There are a few different principals as play If there is a deposit of £1000 and the bank has lent £900 the bank only has £100 in cash. The reserve is what it has to hold in order to be able to give depositors cash should they want it. This is why you give notice if you want to draw large amounts and...

Re: Interest Rate Up
Banks don’t just create money
In order to lend £1 they need to have £1
That can be borrowed from the government at cheep rates but they don’t create money. Net zero game for a retail bank
