You may be okay watching news channels/SSN now on an OLED, provided you keep the OLED backlight low when doing so.
Shopping for a TV can be complicated, so happy to help if you need it.
What’s the issue with these channels please?

Owen Coyle in India

Husband has just arrived back from a business trip to India with the local Chennai Times of India newspaper. I was flicking through and stumbled across this for anyone interested.

Because it probably doesn't bother them when they have a high ambient noise level, or maybe they don't sit as close to the TV. You can see above I linked a thread on Reddit where someone else notices it. My guess is the OP has gotten unlucky with some units, or they are sensitive to the noise. They...

The whining will be coil whine when the TV is using a lot of power. Was very common in the past with Plasma displays and isn't really a fault. It may differ unit to unit, and also lessen with age. in all the reviews I've watched for TV's I've never heard of that issue for the G2. If it's an option get a refund and get the G3 (it's miles better) LG are ignoring us and Richer Sounds say they never had a problem although they have duplicated the whine in the shop! LG G2 OLED

Just a quick question regarding the above television. We recently bought one and have had to swap it three times. You want perennials- plants that come back every year. You could try lavender, geums, hydrangeas, salvias ( a favourite of mine). Shady pots could include, mini daffs, snowdrop bulbs for spring, ferns and hostas for summer. Sunny pot put mini iris for spring, maybe a mini conifer for all year intere...

Re: Best time of year to prune back trees/large shrubs?

Depends on the type of tree. Deciduous trees autumn winter, evergreens mid to late summer. Google pruning trees on RHS site, very useful info. If you prune at the wrong time of year you can introduce disease or the tree can’bleed sap’.

Advice needed please- Sky versus BT broadband packages

Hi We are looking at getting a broadband package to include Sky and BT Sports. The Sky package is quite a bit more expensive than the BT one. BT use Now TV which we have no experience of whilst Sky offer more channels but we’re not really fussed about them as long as we have the normal Freeview type...
