Re: Football games growing up

One man and two man wembley in Accrington too. World Cup was on of my favourites. A bunch of you playing against one goalie. You had to score between you from a header or volley, if the keeper caught it then he got a goal. First to 5. Simple but classic. Emlyn Hughes International Soccer on the C64 ...

Re: The Sun again - Kompany & Spurs

An understandable emotional response from many on here. I’d be just gutted if he left but he will at some point. He left Anderlecht to join Burnley and that was fuelled by the challenge and personal ambition which is totally understandable. VK delivered an astonishing season which exceeded all our e...

Re: Exeter v Barnsley

I was at that 4-1 match at Exeter as a teenager with my Dad. Made the 270 mile trip down, got p1ss-wet through in the rain on the open away end, watched us get hammered and then drove back again. And got a load of friendly/not-so-friendly abuse from a bunch of Preston fans at a services on the way b...

Re: Average crowd next season

I don't think many people expected the football to be anywhere near as good as it has been.

Re: What's your favourite Away Day?

The FA cup replay at Derby in 1992 without a shadow of doubt for me. I was 13 and still remember it clearly to this day. Never known an atmosphere like it before or since!

Re: Charlie Austin goal v Bournemouth

I used to love watching Austin play for us. It was great to see how much opposition defenders got so wound up with him constantly hassling them. And I'll never forget sitting behind the goal directly in line with that 20 yarder that flew in the top corner at Charlton. I'd have let him **** my wife!
