He was certainly a much needed breath of fresh air into that Burnley side off the bench. I was sorry he didn’t stay. Enjoyed watching his career develop, it was great to see him in the Premier, but after that I kind of lost track of him.

Pretty sure there are going to be a mini series of them. The talking head nonsense was for the most part fill, ITV are getting more bang for their buck.. as they say stateside. Why make one advertising goldmine when you can spin it out to three or four.

Looks like a larger strategy to me. Get recruitment up in friendly clubs and first dibs on talent that would suit Burnley. Not feeder clubs so much as a group of clubs playing swap-sys to keep the prices down.

When I see photos of the packed Longside as above I genuinely feel sorry that my grandchildren will never witness the camaraderie,passion,noise chaos that was the Longside, loved it in there,influenced lots of games, definitely helped keep us in the league. I’d be shocked and disappointed if we sold Vydra this summer. I think after a tough start he really showed what he could offer Burnley going forward last term, is currently our second striker. I lot more to come from Vydra I suspect.

The original was definitely more purple than claret. In fact my girlfriend of the time said on seeing it for the first time… Burnley need to change their nickname to Clorets (popular sweet at the time) because that purple has never seen claret.
