Personally, I would expect all player out of contract in the summer to not be renewed, including those with options. Easy way to reduce the wage bill from higher earners.

When Jay was in the team pre Xmas I actually thought these performances as a team were the best we had this season. He got the best out of those around him and defended from the front. To be fair to him, I don't think he fits the current system we are trying to play. He's not a wide player, he's not a traditional centre mid, he's an central attacking midfielder for me, but this area of the pitch is where Amdouni like to drop into. One or the other for me.

Have to say, I am very sad to hear this news. Brilliant last season, not given much of a chance this season but with his recent minutes, I thought he might be working his way back into the fold. Out of last seasons squad Zaroury looked the most ready and capable to step up.

Agreed. In the first 9-10 games I think we all found many of the starting selections baffling at times, with too many changes from week to week and a good performance one week not being rewarded with a run in the team. Glad VK seems to have settled into a relatively consistent starting XI.

same team for me. I think the recent consistency in the starting line up has helped the team and there have been positives to pull from each performance since Palace. Kompany needs to improve his choice/decision for subs and not make changes for the sake of it.
