Re: Long gone nightclubs

A “ club “ I never thought I’d hear of again . They used to have strippers on Sunday upstairs as well , I well remember as an 17/18 yr old being a bit shocked at the “ whip round shows “ when on occasion a few older guys had a whip round for the stripper and gave her on on the dance floor  . M...

Re: Been with your Mrs for 30 years and don’t love her.

I've got a mistress on the side. When COVID shut football down , me and the lad started watching Radcliffe as non-league could still have spectators for some reason. Anyway, whenever Burnley have been away and we couldn't get there, off we went to Radcliffe, even a few of the local away games. Satur...

Re: Cricket field stand yesterday - anyone see any trouble?

My seat is two away from the dividing barrier next to the large gap between the fan's, also right behind my seat is the row to the walkway to the gate the police and security staff use into the no man's land bit, this guy with the cap was right up against the gate on the barrier within 1 metre of m...

Can I ask does this guy have a tattoo on his neck and did he have a baseball cap on
From memory, yes he did although I'm not sure that narrows it down too much! :D

Re: Cricket field stand yesterday - anyone see any trouble?

Thanks for that, yes - it is me who sits in front of you. Appreciate the info, from someone I can trust, it corroborates what I was told too. Oli obviously saw things better than me and he was amazed that he got thrown out. As far as I could see, after their goal was disallowed for the Salah offsid...

Re: Cricket field stand yesterday - anyone see any trouble?

Are you the guy who sits in front of my son, Oli and his wife, Chloe? If so we saw everything that happened and the lad who got chucked out did very little wrong at all.

Re: New food/drink rules at the Turf

It’s variable ticket pricing so the later you leave it the more you can expect to pay. Hospitality isn’t for me so I won’t be experiencing it but I’ve been told it’s not particularly good food wise. The chairman’s daughter took time out from trying to free Nathan Tella to try and promote it and was...

I would pay that, even if the food was 5 star
That should have been including the seat

£600 for one ticket ?
That was the price on the ticket but I wouldn't have paid £50 for it including the food. It was all appalling

Re: New food/drink rules at the Turf

If all their efforts are going into the Super Box then they are failing miserably. Had the displeasure of experiencing it on Saturday and it was a massive let down despite the ticket price of £600 (no, I didn't pay for it and I don't think that can be the actual price of a ticket in there).

Re: Ticket exchange

I too had an email regarding my none attendance at the Chelsea game. Was I aware of the sell back scheme? Absolutely I am and that I'm not allowed to use it as I am one of the second class citizens that uses the Cricket Field Stand. You'd think they'd have that information...

Re: ARTICLE: The 33 Year Wait is Over

I drove down with my son and my brother. A 30 minute walk to the ground. cans from an off licence. photos on wembley way. Paying over the odds for food in the ground. Felt so amxious all match. Cried at the final whistle. Told my son this was as good as it got (I had to change that the very first ho...

Re: What’s your non clarets hobby?

Crown green bowls. Been doing it almost as long as watching Burnley. Gets difficult when the two seasons overlap but Burnley tends to get the nod especially when we're doing well. Should be in a final night on Friday but the Turf is far more of an attraction 😁

Left the pub at 2:30, got to the ground at 2:40: queued at the cfs and got in at 2:55, in my seat just as the players came out. It takes longer than it used to. Plan for it

Re: Broadband.

I'm with 3 on the wireless broadband. Despite being in a good 5G area, I never get it (but I do on my phone), i lose connectivity on average twice per day and I don't get anywhere near the advertised download speed (not sure what it should be but i get about 25Mbps). I don't have a BT landline and I...
