Re: Toffees vs Clarets Match Thread
Kompany needs a Sunderland’esque half time team talk here. These are absolutely there for the taking and a lethal second half could really give us half a chance of staying up. Dyche will be ready for our possession and fannying about though, probably just tell his lads to be strong and see out the g...

Re: Arijanet Muric
I remember being outed on this board back in August when I scored him a 10 in the Forest league cup game. It was so clear to see even then how much of an impact he made to the rest of the team. The team should have been built around him, with players who complement his vision and who can receive a p...

Re: The pitchside screen
If the ref was Aby good at all, it would just have been an instant pen. My initial reaction was, how’s he not seen it. The more I think about it, I feel the Prem refs don’t give these decisions as they often want their mates on VAR to back them up, or in taking an age to look at the offside, they l...

Re: Burnley v Brentford - Player Ratings
Muric - 9 - MOM - did everything we thought he’d do, some good saves, some good claims from crosses and excellent distribution, his ability to turn defence to attack so quickly and accurately is what we’ve missed Assignon - 7 - strangely him and Vitinho seem to be a decent partnership down the right...

Re: Arijanet Muric
He played well and stood up well but most saves were as I would expect and I think Trafford makes those too. He does however move it more quickly and the passing is crisper and accurate so it's harder for teams to press us effectively and because he can drill those great long diagonals accurately t...

Re: Arijanet Muric
The whole ‘poor Brentford side’ is nonsense. You can only beat what’s in front of you, nevertheless, the whole side looked far more comfortable with Aro in the sticks. Similar to Forest in the cup, and Spurs in the cup, the whole team looks more fluid and everything is done a couple of seconds quick...

Brilliant. I'm more worried about the state of the economy, the destruction of the NHS, Ukraine vs Russia developing into WW3, viruses getting ahead of medical science, going bald, age related problems.. but crack on if that's all you've got to worry about :D In all fairness to the OP, he wast’t st...

Imagine a line up of - Muric Roberts THB(£15m) Beyer Maatsen (£20m at start of window) Cullen Brownhill Berge (£12m) Tella (£18m) Foster Koleosho (£3m) That team absolutely wipes the floor with the current crop, keeps the majority of the ...

Re: Let’s talk about Benson!
I think VK will admit in private he’s probably not done things as he maybe should have, but he stated at the start of the season he wasn’t going to start changing things to then change them back and he’s being stubborn in that sense. We could make a case for Muric, Roberts, Taylor, Cullen, Cork, Ben...

It’s entirely up to the individual I’d say. My now 5 year old, nearly 6, is the absolute apple of my eye, and I wouldn’t change it for the world. Does he cost me an arm and a leg? Re: VK pre-match presser v Liverpool
Postecoglu has been refreshingly honest and decent in his assessments, from what I’ve seen so far. Whether he goes down the Klopp route remains to be seen. Klopp was decent at first but I’ll be glad to see the back of him, after this season. He’s worse than Guadiola, in my eyes, much worse. It’s hi...

Re: TRAFFORD
Trafford didn’t claim the ball for their 1st because there were 2 forwards and 3 defenders in front of him and his arms would need to be 6 foot longer to get anywhere near the ball. The defence are told what positions to adopt for corners - Odobert didn’t do his job. In my opinion, he could have cl...

Having slept on yesterday’s performance, I still can’t fathom the decision making of some. VK and Trafford included. Team selection felt wrong from the off. Evidence tonight that Danny Ings isn’t the answer to our need for another striker in January as some have mentioned on the transfer post.
Really weak bench for West Ham too, mustn’t be bothered about the FA Cup this year.

Re: Best Burnley Sunday League teams and players
I briefly remember a few teams with Burnley Wood affiliations being half decent, CWR scaffolds, George IV, there were always plenty of good games to be had. I started my adult Sunday league with Red House, then had a stint with St Paul’s and finished off playing for the Dugdale. It’s a shame to see ...

Re: Ross Barkley
Majority of the time he picked the ball up it amazed me how much space and time he had, he could do what he wanted with it.
The few times we closed him down we got a bit of luck but his eye for a pass and how he popped up several times for a strike at goal was way above what I would have liked.

I’ve actually been impressed with Ramsey tonight. He’s never a CM in a midfield two but you can see glimpses of what he can do, he’ll come good I’m sure, but if Villas deal is anything like Archers is at Sheff Utd, he’ll be back there in the summer if we go down

The whole team set off and are confident he can pick them out, which he's already shown numerous times that he can do it.

Trafford - 8* - some good saves and getting better at coming to claim balls, but his distribution still needs a lot of work if he’s to continue playing how VK is clearly asking him to Vitinho - 4 - no good as a full back in this league, efforts there but he’s just not good enough, bit like the manag...

I remember years ago always getting a bit hyped to play the big teams, rough them up a bit, get the crowd into them, cause an upset.
Nowadays we just roll over and let them do what they want. Don’t give yourself a chance when you give them this much respect.
