Game consol help required
Hello, Apologies this is completely off topic but I can’t face any football chat just now. I have 3 children a lad aged 11 and two girls aged 13 and 15. We have never had any form of games console in the house but I feel that we should probably give one a whirl. None of them have been particularly b...

I was also wondering about Keane but also Wood. I think he would score loads with the current supply? Just a thought. WOuld he come back in Jan and would we want him?

Re: What did the Queen mean to you?
This thread reminds me a little bit of the discussions we are having in our household. My 10 year old is not yet able to see beyond "why do they get to live in big houses and I don't". My 12 year old understands and appreciates the "good works" charity work, promoting causes and raising awareness su...

Thank you for reminding me. I had not seen the video for too long. If you have not seen it recently well worth a watch. Or course Cash did not write the song but in a way that makes it even more powerful.Long in the tooth wrote: ↑Tue Jul 05, 2022 12:46 pmHurt by Johnny Cash
Knew he was dying and is reflected in this song and video.

Re: Summer 2022 Burnley Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
I would expect Collins to be away if a decent off came in. He is young and has made a great start to his premiership career. He will not want to drop a level at this stage if an opportunity came along at another club.

I think overall he is the best I have seen. Although it was close run thing with Tom Heaton, Alan Stevenson and Mark Kendall.

I would keep Cork, Pieters, Mee and possibly Barnes. He could still boss Championship level defenders so unless we can sign someone better he could do a job.
Vydra, Stephens Bardsley can all go.

Re: Stand up paddle boards
Decathlon boards are good quality for the price. Beware there are some cheaper ones out there that are rubbish. If like me you are a "big lad" you need to go for a big board especially if you are a beginner. Decathlon do an 11 ft board which is pretty stable. Also don't skimp on the pump. Good luck....

I don't fancy Chris Wilder so of the current hot tips it looks like Rafa or Rooney? Interesting choice. Would they come to Burnley? Of the 2 I would pick Rafa but Rooney could be intriguing. Which would you pick?

Re: Big news coming soon from the Turf (Sean Dyche sacked)
Sean has done a great job over the years. Thank you. You will always be a legend at BFC. However the performances have been on the slide for the last 3 years and a change was coming. Timing maybe odd but we still have 8 games and a slim chance of staying up. To be honest I am glad he has gone now ra...

It is not a must win in terms of points. But it is a must win in terms of momentum and confidence. Losing would undo a lot of the good work achieved last night.

Re: The Jack Cork mystery...
Salisbury, I agree. However the Cork Brownhill combination did seem to be working and I would have let it go on a little longer. Against city I would play all 3 in CM with Cornet on the left, Lennon on the right and Wort alone up front.

Re: The Jack Cork mystery...
Salisbury the problem is that we are not looking at the last 2 and half years but at this year where we are in a spot of bother. Also we cannot look at the central midfield in isolation it is the whole balance of the field. What would be interesting to see is how the combinations performed, ie what ...

Agent wood. Deployed to relegation rivals. Boosted our escape budget by £25m will ensure no effective front man for Newcastle for the rest of season before returning to Burnley as target man back up in the summer for £250k.

I love the irrational views. Burnley who have a pretty good track record with goalies thought he was worth buying as prospect for the future. At the end of last season he played a couple of games where he was less than stellar but so were many players. On the basis of this some armchair experts thin...

Stephen Anderson at DRN is excellent. I actually don't think he is expensive, I have paid more for far worse service. He may have moved up and no longer actually do the work but always found DRN to be top drawer

Overall yes, but on that last day there would be disappointment. I think that is the point. We were all bitterly disappointed on the day and many feel we could and should have done better. However in the cold light of day looking back there is no doubt that the tournament as a whole was a success a...

Today I have a sick feeling and it is nothing to do with the result. I am proud of the team and their performance throughout this competition. Re: End child food poverty
Looking after the vulnerable in our society is a must and children should not be going hungry. However there has to be some accountability too. In many cases families find themselves in poverty for reasons beyond their control and as a society we need to be there to support them. However in other ca...
