Re: Burnley v Brighton - Player Ratings
Muric 5 Commanded the box. Another howler. Still a better option than Trafford. Assignon 5 Unbelievably lightweight Ekdal 8 Streets ahead of O’Shea as a defender. Can’t stay fit. Esteve 8 Can we keep him? Vitinho 4 Did nowt. Berge 4 Slow, ponderous and that’s before being moved to centre half… Culle...

Re: Everton v Burnley - Player Ratings
Muric - 5 - Calamitous mistake for the goal. Solid otherwise but obviously cost us the match. Assignon - 4 - miles off the required standard. O’Shea - 4 - miles off the required standard. At least we don’t have to endure his garbageness for a few games. Esteve - 6 - getting better each game. Best of...

Re: VK OUT !!
It was clear after the first month or so that he’d made huge mistakes in the transfer market, that he was woefully out of his depth, that he’d disrupted the squad beyond repair without good reason and that he was making the same tactical and selection mistakes without learning from those mistakes. N...

Trafford 3 I feel sorry for him. He’s nowhere near up to it and his manager is too stubborn to admit he’s got it completely wrong. Assignon 7 At last an athlete in our back 4. Fantastic assist. O’Shea 4 He’s a terrible defender. Ekdal 4 Not fast enough for the Prem, particularly when playing alongsi...

Re: January wishlist
I disagree that he’s made a mess of our signings. I’ve just had a car journey home with Villa fans who were raving about a number of our signings - Trafford, Odobert, Foster, Amdouni, Berge (until the sending off). They also went to the home game and commented how much better they looked today than...

Re: January wishlist
I wouldn’t be giving Kompany another penny. He’s made a complete mess of things transfer-wise. Yes we’re certainly getting better tactically but realistically his signings have backfired. We need to win half of the remaining games to have any chance of staying up. That’s simply not going to happen, ...

I’ve been watching Burnley since the late 70s. In the season after we almost went out of the league, I went to every game home and away. I’ve seen seen some great teams and great players and also some woeful teams and players. I’ve watched Burnley play at over 80 league grounds. Expectations have ch...

Relegation is inevitable. The evidence is in front of us each week. Nothing has changed and nor will it. We’re just miles off being good enough for the Prem. What amazes me most is this arrogant idea some have that we’ll come straight back. This squad has no chance whatsoever of coming straight back...

Flapper Trafford 3 Made for TV saves (that pretty much any professional ’keeper should make) can’t hide the fact that he’s not equipped to cope at this level. He’s a kid, though so I’m not sure what else our manager expects. He shouldn’t be being exposed to this. Too slow, quiet, weak and a total la...

Vitinho

Taylor
Cullen
Berge
Tresor
Amdouni
Foster
Odabert

Worst Chelsea side I've seen at Burnley, nowhere near good enough and we allowed them back into the game. I totally disagree with you. I said this to my son after 30 mins. I wouldn’t say it’s panic. That’s not the correct word. It’s more disbelief. Disbelief at the number of unnecessary changes. Disbelief that we haven’t signed a left back (when VK is clearly not a fan of Taylor). Disbelief that last year’s team hasn’t been given a chance. Disbelief that the new playe...

Trafford - 5 - Out of his depth. Unfair to play him, really. Too soon. Give him time to adapt. His nervousness spreads to the defence. Not vocal enough. Muric has to start. There’s a wider point here. Time’s up for Mr Bird. Completely out of his depth now under the new era as we try to move on from being a plucky town team towards being a respected, established top flight club. Taylor and Roberts are Dyche-type players. First post in many years. Had to create new login! I really think it’s time to give some youngsters a go. Other teams in the Prem are and there’s little point signing so many and not giving them a chance. The general consensus is that so many of our squad are past it (Cork and Barnes in particular)....
