Intriguing teams in preliminary rounds. Give me a The New Saints - Qarabag FK any day of the week.

There’s often more intrigue in the pool games.

So happy to learn that Mick is doing better today! It’s lovely news and great to see all the messages of support. And without your post Mick, I would not have found out about Andy’s Man Club being in Burnley, so you letting people know how you feel on this board has helped me out too, and I imagine ...

Re: Router advice

I had a really dodgy Wi-Fi connection at home, bought an eero and an extender a couple of weeks ago and sorted me out. No complaints from me. The set up was pretty easy, too. My only comment is the extender plugs in to the wall, but sits on the floor. Previously I had one that just plugged into the ...

Re: A I in football ?

I’d be surprised if ‘AI’ isn’t being used in preparation for football matches already. And I’m sure it’s already being used in the business side, particularly retail and commercial, dynamic pricing for example. The last decade or so has seen the rise of data analytics in football. It’s only one step...

I felt that Alex Turner from Arctic Monkeys looked like the kind of person who would dislike Young Alex Turner - he looked quite uncomfortable playing the old bangers.

Which is funny because now Alex Turner is like a cheesy old crooner that Young Alex Turner would have written a scathing song about.

There are lots of opportunities to do voluntary TEFL in the UK for people resettling here. Usually, local councils have schemes set up for this. It’s unpaid (sigh) but at least it provides real TEFL experience without the cost of needing to live abroad somewhere, and you can be sure that you’re help...

I’ve only seen the first hour - not got round to the rest of it yet, but I will do - so the madness is lurking round the corner for me. I absolutely love all of Adam Curtis’ stuff.

He’s one to avoid if you want something lighthearted or need to give your brain a rest though!

Musk doesn’t say “a great honour”, it translates to “honor” not great honour. I’m certainly no Russian linguist but I do suspect it’s lost in translation. The English equivalent could well be “it would be good to speak with you” which would be correct, because it would be good for anyone in the wes...
