Serhou Guirassy he plays for VfB Stuttgart in the Bundesliga and this season has scored 17 goals in only 14 appearances. They don't become worthless after relegation.

We never spent all the money we brought in from last summer's outgoing transfers.
Also the fees are spread over years. They're not all upfront.
If we do ultimately get relegated, the players are still saleable assets. Some worth a lot more than what we paid.
