Re: Kompany celebrating with the fans

Using Keane to back a strange point about what Kompany should do as a manager is a bit weird It was in reference to when Villa stayed up on the last day a few years ago and the players were wildly celebrating. He said something along the lines of they shouldn't be celebrating an awful season and go...

I’ve been to about 20 games this season. Saturday was the second time I’ve seen us win in person. Apologies for celebrating. I should have been berating Kompany for looking too happy. So you should be celebrating, as was I. You support Burnley and you should be over the moon. But you didn't guide u...

Re: Kompany celebrating with the fans

I didn't read too much into it, I don't expect the manager not to celebrate a win and I did think it was a talking point. I seem to be in a minority of one, which is fine, but when you're sitting in the bottom three you don't celebrate like you've just won the league. For my money anyway. When you'v...

Don't pay much attention to the Bundesliga but they seem to have come from nowhere. Noticed they scored the equaliser in the 97th minute today to preserve the unbeaten record. Fantastic achievement if they do it though it probably won't get that much credit due to the perception of the Europa league...

Kompany celebrating with the fans

Just saw this on sky sports news.

Celebrating like we saw at the back end of last season.

Do you take the view of we haven't had much to celebrate so he's taking a rare opportunity to enjoy it or given the season we've just endured, he should have applauded the fans briefly and walked off?

Re: So do you drop Muric after two massive costly howlers?

I haven’t dared watch it back yet, but that’s what I thought he had done - and if so it’s just really poor technique and an overconfidence in his ability. Even in possession he seems to do this thing where he rolls the ball one way and another with his studs rather than using the inside or outside ...

It’s ******* pointless marking when people are giving 4s to a 19 year old who played in three fantastic crosses as part of some sort of myopic “no end product” narrative. A lot of points made, but the majority of them, clearly agenda based. Only two posts prior to this one have pointed out that a back pass to a keeper should never be between the posts. That alone prevents the mistake resulting in a goal. Just as comments against Trafford were over the top and unnece...

Very happy with the points we’ve had from his games so far, if only he was in for the full season we wouldn’t be in the bottom three. I can understand (to a point) why Kompany is playing him out wide. He has pace and power. If the intention is to run into the box at pace rather than put crosses in then in makes some sense, but not enough. His final ball is sadly lacking, his control isn't the best and I don't think he has a good f...

Relied on crosses into the box for his goals. The less possession we had, the less crosses came in and subsequently he ended up getting less goals. Was never really a striker to make something from nothing (though his goal the other night was exactly that) but he did a great job for us in that system.
