Yes, we have a copy of Mark W. Jones "A Walk Around the Snickelways of York". A great way to find hidden York away from the tourist traps. Our copy dates from 1993, don't know if it's still in print, but there are copies on eBay.

He goes in basically close to where the Bob Lord turnstiles are now (the ones closest to the cricket field end). When it shows them training, they are inside the ground behind the Bee Hole end so basically in what is now the car park, leading round to the fanzone. Just had another look at the film....

The “Culvert” dates from 1796, but rebuilt over the years to cope with increasing traffic. Strictly speaking it’s an aqueduct, but perhaps it was named The Culvert as a joke, which stuck. Rather than water it allowed traffic to pass under the canal.

Last summer I placed a bet at the local bookies for Burnley to be promoted back to the Premier League. Now that promotion is assured whatever happens in the remaining games I went to claim my winnings. The bookies say they can't/won't pay out until the end of the season. Is this normal?
