Hats off to Private Eye who were highlighting this scandal long before anyone else knew what was happening. Even when they did know many of the major news outlets and newspapers chose to ignore it. The PO has now succeeded in dragging this out so long they have reduced the estimated compensation cos...

I didn’t see the game but I’m surprised at some of the low scores being given. If we can play that badly and win away then we must be a good side.

Fair enough, haven’t heard that specific comment from Watt. But obviously there’s a financial benefit to any investment so I’m not sure we’ve got any great plans to generate any significant interest in the USA - I’m not sure any American network would be interested in broadcasting a documentary abo...

This is the point. You can sell proven Premier League players, for decent money, when you are relegated. Much harder to even get your money back on little known imports if they haven't delivered at PL level. Lavia has only played 29 prem league games all of those were for Soton. He sold for a repor...

Most of us are being driven witless by this thread and its because too much nonsense is leading to a 50 post argument. Being driven witless, really? Why people allow themselves get so wound up over particular posters or opinions on a transfer discussion thread is beyond me. There's an off button, t...

Neither Mee or Tarkowski were particularly quick and whilst they did struggle with pace on occasions they were good premier league defenders.
The difference for me is that I think Ekdal has more quality/ability and with the right support could do very well.

It does seem we never put that much effort in trying to get Tella permanently. On what evidence do you say that? VK might have busted his balls to get him back, alternatively he could just have gone "meh, can't be arsed." I suspect that you have no better understanding of what went goes on behind t...

Burnley born and bred but now living on the south coast. I still have family in Burnley and manage to see the odd home game.
Plenty of away day opportunities next season although the match that would have been nearest, Southampton, is no longer an option.

Have to admit that I just don't understand how all this has happened. I'm genuinely perplexed about it all.
