Hey Lancaster - is this your stalker?🤔 :P :P He is one hell of an odd individual but you can back him up in other ways ;-) MOD: One month ban handed out to burnleychris for off-topic and frankly, unnecessary remarks towards LancasterClaret. Re: Thoughts on the World Cup so far?
There’s no character to this tournament. Knowing that they are playing in temporary stadiums, doesn’t seem to show the beginning of a legacy to me. It’s reminds me of playing video games and selecting generic stadium number 4. Everything looks the same. It’s clear to me now that World Cups need to ...

Who said anything about marking? Walker will handle Mbappe as he's done in the Champions League.
No. I'm on about when the ball is in play. We take too long to get the ball into midfield. We need to speed it up.

Re: England v Senegal WC R16
I understand your original post in which you claim, idiotic ally, that people who happen to be vegans or anti vaxxers will be proud to announce they are not watching. I just wonder what you're basing this nugget of wisdom on? Is it all vegans and anti vaxxers? Some of them? No, you haven't a clue. ...

Is it yet another law, vegans and/or non-vaccinated people may not watch the World Cup or just more evidence of your stupid, idle prejudice?

Re: Thoughts on the World Cup so far?
I'll stick my neck out, and I know this will come me back to haunt me :) , but I think that the winner of England/France will go on to watch the tournament. I disagree with your first bit, as it's been of a good standard. Spain and Brazil have played excellent football. But this bit caught my eye -...

Re: England v Senegal WC R16
I wasn't discussing people not watching, but replying to your comment that some don't want England to win, so it was difficult to understand, as it had nothing to do with my post, or even yours which I was replying to. Your reply suggested it was in reply to why I said some people aren't watching. ...

Re: Thoughts on the World Cup so far?
The emergence of nations like Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Japan has shown how the game has spread from what used to be Europe v South American countries. The 2022 World Cup is now a truly 'World' contest and more diverse than its ever been. It's been a treat to watch it. I've loved it so far. S...

I’m a man of few principles (😏) but I think it is easy to stand firm on this. I can’t even be bothered with the reasons any more. Many on here said they wouldn’t watch it but I wonder how many have changed because England have beaten a few poor teams. Don’t get me wrong I’ll be sick if we did win i...

Thoughts on the World Cup so far?
In no particular order. Stones and Maguire are too slow. They don't turn quick enough and don't have the vision to get the ball into midfield quick enough - something that is needed if we're to be more potent. Jermaine Jenas doesn't really know what's going on. Often makes a decision and then the re...

Re: England v Senegal WC R16
So far, my thoughts are: Get the ball into midfield as quickly as possible. Our central defence is FAR TOO SLOW! They lack vision. Sure, they can defend when the ball is in the air, but when the football is on the ground we should allow them to have as least amount of possession as humanly possible....

I just love the position we're currently in. Rumoured to be in for one of the best forwards in the Championship and playing champagne football - probably the best football in the Championship over the last 10+ years.
