Re: Your FOUR for the play-offs
Blackburn will almost certainly make it. It’s hopeful to think they won’t. They’re not a patch on borough or Luton. But the play offs are a genuine lottery and what matters most is how you come into them. Luton have been great all season. But it’s a different pressure when it’s down to three cup gam...

Said on another points record thread a few weeks back (after a few draws) that this is how it feels to be a City fan. You ascend so high that every little drop feels like a crash, and if records are not smashed, titles become consolation prizes. It's not right, but I understand them a bit better no...

Whatever you want to think, but the issue wasn't the GK. There was very little threat from the flanks when they had the ball Because it was played out slowly. When we attack from muric it’s quick. Their defenders are on the back foot and our attackers on the front. Every time they got it today they...

Murci would not have made any difference, because he's not the one tasked with crossing in for our strikers. BPF faced very little in the way of danger from Reading. 75% possession and the vast majority of it was nowhere near BPF. This is kind of my point. Muric is involved in so many attacks. He gets involved and the team get him involved. BPF was fine. Taylor was fine. But nowhere near the energy and composure and technical ability. Both did ok today. But we ...

That today showed how crucial he is to our style. Missed him big time. And to a lesser extent Maatsen as Taylor was probably our best player.

Roberts has been class. And his stats considering he wasn’t even first choice for much of the season are really good. But trippier was better imo.
Maatsen vs trippier is much closer and I’d pick Maatsen if I had to.

On stewards; I get really ticked off watching stewards getting between fans and their own players, why? They are celebrating for crying out loud. That’s a good point. He’s arguably better than Trippier when he played for us. And he was older. I’d love it if we could sign him permanently. He’s quicker than trips was when he was here. Who scored, and other sites, use stats though, not opinions or what fans see. That's why the team of the "week"/"season" etc isn't just the Burnley team. It’s a shame if jay ends like this. But tbh before this season it was clear his best days were behind him. Kompany suggested last night that he’d be using the squad over the remaining games. What a season. The players won’t get complacent. But you go to games now and genuinely can’t see us doing anything other than win. And it’s hard to fathom if we draw.
