Re: Tonight’s football
So, if an opposing player "deliberately" strikes the ball to hit a defenders hand, elbow or arm should it be a penalty? The solution may be to have all outfield players running around in straightjackets - oh wait - a whole new skill game on the horizon to add to VAR  There is a theme though - ...

Can anyone explain to me why Saints aren't top of the league in the Championship? I keep seeing the same points being strung out time and time again to make excuses for crap results. Mainly: We've bought a load of young players and they will come good in time and we will walk the championship. Sain...

Good afternoon all Hope someone can help me. I normally do online shopping on a laptop, which allows me to use my Mc Afee “safe site” checker, and to check the security certification of sites. Re: Sheffield United is a must win or Kompany has to go
He didn't massively improve Barnes. Barnes was just playing at a lower level for the first time in years, so naturally found it easier, just like the likes of Roberts and Brownhill did. He was actually a better player in his first few seasons in the PL under Dyche. I disagree 100%. I also didn't se...

If you are referring to Maatsen, the figure wasn’t within a million miles of 30 million. For it to reach that I think he’d have needed to win over 100 full international caps and win Premier League titles with us. I heard that the Trafford fee was massively incentivized too, can you confirm that to...

Re: Sheffield United is a must win or Kompany has to go
look how much Kompany improved Barnes, that was universally recognized by everyone. He will massively improve these young players, it's just going to take time. If you go back 10 years or so and say 8 of those would be in the PL but there will be tough times with a few relegations every last one of ...

I wouldn't describe them as gems I'd describe the aforementioned as potentially promising individuals to varying degrees they haven't really done anything yet maybe never will, we wouldn't be sat at the foot of the table if they were gems. €45 for kudus. £30m for JWP. Somehow we’re expected to beat these teams convincingly despite dodgy var decisions. I thought we were the better side for long periods and it provokes this hyperbole despite the obvious gulfs in quality and experience of the two teams. This seasons a write off for me b...

Whether you're relegated on goal difference or relegated with 4pts, you're still relegated. Still not a straight answer there. That’s great and all Vegas but ultimately it is a results business. Attempts to conflate with where we’ve been in the 80s aren’t relevant right now - we’re in the PL, have a decent playing budget, what is a finish where we can say - ‘yep, something to build on?’ I’m not saying we should be knocking...

I think there’s certain marks you’d expect a manager to hit Vegas. I’m not suggesting that going down would warrant a sacking - nor to sack him now. I’d just like to know what those that are still so pro VK/pro ‘the project’ would deem acceptable and could say it’s progress and a stepping stone. Mu...

I'm usually one of the first to have a go at the crowd for being quiet but I thought it sounded more than decent for the most part, a bit quiet at times the lads needed a push but that's how it is at the moment. Not the crowds fault in any way shape or form today imho.
