Re: A Song
We don’t need a song, we have football chants. I cringe whenever I hear Stoke fans singing ‘Delilah’. Same with all the singing and dancing along to the PA after a win at Brentford. Give me twenty minutes of ‘We are the Longside’ over than contrived crap any day.

The Rovers game was the only game this season in which the home and away sections old out, and the attendance was shown as 21,747. The final home game against Newcastle last season was also a complete sell out home and away (possibly not in the posh seats??), the attendance was given as 21,361.

I’m surprised how (relatively) highly people are rating his positioning, I thought it was dreadful. It’s with refs like this that you wish assistant referees were still remotely capable of doing their job.

Personally I don't think you can call someone thick and arrogant and have a balanced view of them, whatever you may add to try and justify the comments, and certainly a debate on here won't change their views, so like I said, best to leave it I didn’t call all police officers thick and arrogant. I wouldn't let the possible actions of one officer change your view Sounds like several officers behaved disgracefully on Saturday. They should’ve been given a stonewall penalty, but they also should’ve been given a stonewall red. The referees are consistently crap in this league (and this country), and every team suffers from it in almost every game.

The worst of it was their physio (blatantly to the entire JML but not the ref) pulling their ‘injured’ player away as he was leaving the pitch, making sure to buy an extra thirty seconds by telling him to leave via a more circuitous route. Many thanks to him for those crucial thirty seconds, bet he ...

Indeed Sunderland are complicit. Just like Newcastle, the reason they do it is to kill the atmosphere from the away fans. I don't understand how either of them get away with it. I thought it had been made compulsory to allow at least some away fans to be pitch-side? It’s really unfair and I can’t u...

Remembering when we were last in this division… the memory that hits me first is walking through a flooded Hull town centre on Boxing Day after an utterly demoralising 0-3 loss and thinking ‘we are not going up this season’. By comparison, I’m feeling pretty optimistic right now. Still early days in...

I suppose when they get bored of criticising how crap their team/club/pitch is they need to look elsewhere, and the opposition’s own commentary being biased was this week’s stress-reliever.

I found the atmosphere from the home fans absolutely bizarre at Deepdale last night.
