thanks, you literally just made the argument for me. We can definitely get something at Chelsea after the international break, the atmosphere is getting toxic, it reminds me of when we went to West Ham and won 3-0. I know it may upset some people but I'd swap Odobert for Brownhill against Chelsea. We have to keep JBL and Vitinho out wide to help the ...

The squad needs a bit of tweaking in two or three positions but I'm hopeful the bulk of the side we'll have next season are already here. This is where the manager and his staff earn their corn. They'll have a full pre season with the squad to get them up to the levels they were at in Oct 2022, righ...

I'm actually the opposite of the opening poster. I am firmly in the Kompany in camp but my support was beginning to wane after the Arsenal and Palace games. There are obvious holes at full back but the thought process has to be next season, with a big nod towards where we are if we win promotion. We dominated games and protected the defence by keeping the ball in our title winning side, something that is never going to happen in the Premier League. We c...

If we are comparing last seasons midfield to what we are hoping for next season, then a replacement for Cork is the number one priority with Berge playing the role that Brownhill did.
A replacement for Cork was a major priority this season but that seemed to pass the recruitment team by.

Agree with that and feel Cullen for Brownhill has to now happen because he gives us more forward dynamism. He was badly exposed in those first 10 games but Berge was learning the system too. I did read it and respectfully disagree. The biggest difference in dictating our attacks from deep between this season and last is not the goalkeeper, in my opinion. We weren't impossible to press last season. Perhaps we were for a decent Championship side, but never for a Premier league team. We've learned that this season.
