Two games.... My first ever game sometime in 1981 or 1982. Alan Stevensons testimonial vs Man City. Think we lost 3-2 My first ever competitive game was on 26th Feb 1983 against Charlton. My GP practice in Pendle has three partners. Two of the partners see patients for 2-3 sessions per week. The rest of their time is taken up with chairing steering committees and non-NHS work. Their NHS income accounts for a fraction of the other incomes they are generating. One of these 'partners' c...

At long last!
Football should be played with feet (predominantly)
I have long held the belief that a throw-in is largely a disadvantage to the team throwing it in. Assuming it is replaced with a kick-in, then this should be much more of a leveller.

If you decide to stay and fix for three years, you should be able to 'port' your existing deal to the new property so that you can continue to benefit from it. Any additional borrowing will be at the rates available when you move. Alternatively if you move now, there are plenty of five year fixed de...

Re: O/T Why do the Scots have a problem with tenses?
When I moved here from Manchester back in 1981, I struggled to come to terms with the use of 'well' instead of 'very' in the local dialect. For example, if you like something, it is 'well good' or if something is rather large, it is 'well big'.
