You could reel a list off the length of your arm it’d be interesting to read reasons from people who still believe we’ll stop up. I don’t know you Jakubclaret so I’ve no particular axe to grind with you, but I find it very hard to understand how, if you are a Burnley supporter, you seem to be an ev...

Been thinking about these sales a bit more. Apart from Ralph I think we saw the best of many of these players before they left. I think it will be the same for Chris Wood.

When Jimmy Mac was sold I remember my mate at school and I getting a petition together and sending it to the club, as if Bob Lord would take any notice :( . Funny thing is, although I clearly remember that, I can’t honestly now remember how I felt when Jimmy was sold. However, I can vividly remember...

Those that are old enough may recall the trolley buses in Manchester that got their electric power from overhead wires. Before that there were lots of towns and cities that had electric trams in their streets. The difference between trolley buses and trams was that the latter ran on rails, just lik...

The crew i hung around with always called him Chunkie , anyone else hear that before ? We had this discussion on here a few weeks ago. I remember me and my mates calling him Chunky. Based on his stature I guess. A common shout as he ran with the ball and approached a defender “P*ss round him, Chunky”

I’d love to know the answer to that too. Also, how did we come to target him in the first place - Dyche?, our recruitment team?, Mike Rigg before he left?, ALK? Via an ex-player?

First record bought was Maria by PJ Proby, probably bought from The Disc on Deardengate, Haslingden. I thought I’d share a couple of quotes from the Telegraph report of the City game that amused me - The 3-5-2 was just a notion – Bruno Fernandes floated somewhere between a beleaguered defensive action and a beleaguered front line. Yes, I remember Chunky as his nickname. Not limited to Burnley Grammar, I was at Haslingden Grammar.
It wasn’t just used at school though, It was commonly heard in the crowd with people shouting “p*ss round him, Chunky” as Coates approached a defender with the ball at his feet.
Great player, btw.

I respect your views IanMcl but I think a statue is going a little overboard.
