Re: Alan Nixon on ALK, worrying

Can someone explain where the revenues are going to come from needed to finance this project if we get relegated ?
Because as far as I can grasp it requires a steady stream of revenue and investment for it to work and everything is pointing in the other direction at present.

Re: Alan Nixon on ALK, worrying

I think the nature of the buy out is the destabilising aspect which is being pounced on. It’s just so hard to see where the revenues are coming from to sustain it. If those in the know can answer that we all might rest more easy,

Re: Alan Nixon on ALK, worrying

The new bit is relegation, no new investors, no growth potential, out of contract players, a problematic economic climate, falling revenues. It’s hard to see any positives. The only hope appears to be to escape relegation and regroup, and the way to do that requires keeping your squad and adding to ...

Re: Grim

What I find disturbing is that Mr Pace talked about the loans in terms of a mortgage. Now that is fine if the value of the asset is rising but in the event of the asset plummeting in value surely there is a problem, and there is a real danger of that happening. We are going to lose a whole lot of as...

Perhaps Paul Waines comments might be more appreciated if he dropped the now absurd, exciting times tag.
Where is the excitement?
An ageing squad, a host of soon to be out of contract players, the real possibility of relegation.
You can only assume Paul is some kind of masochist.

I think for most fans the problem is simple. When we had 50 million in the bank it looked certain we could survive over a number of years. That might be the case although we saw enough of Mancini to think he might feature.
What I was suggesting was the purchase of young talent ready to fight for a place in the side. SD has often it would appear preferred to pad the squad out with older players.

Interesting well thought out response Jedi, only thing I’d disagree with is about the use of resources when we had our time in the sun. We’ve really got to work with what we’ve got. Anyone coming in is likely to be subject to the Dyche Delay as he is bedded in to the system. Buy in January for September is a good rule of thumb. SD has got to get us through with this squad and given a major rethink to tactics that’s still possible.

The strange thing about SD is he can adapt, and can be successful but then suddenly reverts to his comfort zone.
