Steve Thompson for me. Free transfer, scored vital goals and was just an all round perfect fit for the club. I think he should have been used more after the promotion. One definite was Nigel Worthington at Norwich in 2006. We won 4-1 at Carrow Road and he’d lost his job by the time we got back to the car.
