Kimmeridge is worth a visit, great walks on the coastal footpath ( the army ranges are usually open at the weekend) Maiden Castle - Iron Age earthworks - is very close to Dorchester.

Three of us made the Exeter Inn, Topsham + another fan who turned up out of the blue and we had the landlord rooting for us as well. We outnumbered the Liverpool supporters anyway.

Hi all, sorry have only just noticed this thread. I have lived in Dawlish for about 40 years; my dad was from Burnley hence my support for the team. I generally get to to see one or two home matches each season and some away games.

Dawlish is pretty exotic, lovely sandy beaches, red cliffs, a railway line that is open again. I vaguely remember the game, Stan was manager I think, literally a handful of spectators and a couple of dogs.

Staying in your first job for too long and possibly not being challenged further could possibly lead to you stagnating. Getting professional accreditation is a big plus when you are looking at a longer term career plan. If the right job comes along go for it. Good luck.

Costa's on the tiny Greek island of Chalki; you just sit there with a drink and watch the traditional fishing boats tying up in front of you. Total relaxation. (We are there at the moment :) ). Our annual trip to Halki (tiny island an hour away from Rhodes by small ferry) in August. Time to walk, swim and relax; great food in the tavernas and very friendly.

If you like walking, then the Amalfi Coast is brilliant; great walks, scenery and food + the wine isn't bad either. Pompeii and Vesuvius are certainly worth visiting.
