He made a few bob for himself thats for sure.
But was that so bad after all the work he did and the unpaid role of CEO?
Just asking...

unique... surely no other club will ever do anything similar. Seem to remember watching a Burnley Bolton game in the 50s when it was Eddie Hopkinson at the other end.

There's a long Bob Lord quote in the article which is uncredited so how authentic is it? Sure he made some pointed remarks about the Man U situation, but misquoting Bob Lord became a national sport. He was great for the newspapers. He was ruthless, arrogant and upset folks left right and centre but ...

Clearly despite the bulging bank account, the club is still able to demonstrate that their mean, penny pinching, parsimoniousness is alive and well at TM and still underpins decision making. Here was a chance to 'reward' fans and anticipate a high demand by taking the full allocation whether they so...

If you have No Nay Never Vol 1 and 2, then this is a continuation.
I have a few vol 2 left
Vol 2 has a lot of the Derek Gill diaries in it, and includes the John Bond season.
In effect Best of Burnley is Vol 3 but new publisher wanted to rename it.
