The strikes have introduced me to the benefits of national express. London to Manchester for the price of a London pint. Yes it takes longer, but I've found them comfortable and reliable and did I mention the price. Works even better if you've got flexibility to travel when roads are quieter.

I usually set my limiter to 56/57 to steal back the margins for error on the speedometer and cameras and have never been done. Cover is mostly a complete waste of money, not a lot too expensive can go wrong. Boiler is one thing, wet end components do fail, pump, valves but they can be replaced cheaply (compared to £450-£600 every single year). There isn't a lot else to it if you service regularly.
