I think old Burnley would have enjoyed playing this Burnley and would have won more often than not. I know which version I prefer watching though.

Re: The Bar
Leaving the decision to one side at the moment I seem to recall that once a penalty has been awarded then that can be enough of punishment without a red card as well. The difference could be where the penalty is awarded for serious or dangerous foul play . In this case there was no intent at foul p...

Re: Southgate to stay
And Southgate very clearly does have a proven track record as a manager. If he left England, who would have him? Would you expect success? On the flip side, I'm not sure there is a queue of suitable willing candidates ready to take his job. Status Quo probably right but difficult to be too enthusia...

I don't blame the officials who don't have the benefit of replays but people who watched it on TV and still think it was handball need to take a breath and have another look. It will be rescinded but ref can't be blamed for that one. It looked handball all day long until the replays..

There's a distinction to be drawn between profiteering and fraud. Fraud will deserve prosecution and appropriate sentencing. Profiteering, no matter how repugnant it is, breaks no laws. If you want to stop profiteering you have to remove or limit the conditions whereby profiteering can prosper. I w...

One bad game at Sheff Utd and plenty on here wanted Lowton and Taylor in at full back. From time to time we'll come unstuck and look soft at the back but the trade off is brilliant attacking football which has us top of the league and top scorers.
