Re: Do you irrationally like/dislike any other teams?

It was Eastville which was close to the M32. Twerton Park is a few miles from the nearest motorway Of course it was! I think that it once came up as a topic of discussion on here whether we'd played Bristol Rovers on 3 different grounds - Eastville, Twerton Park and the Memorial Ground, but I think...

Re: Millwall v Burnley - TV stream?

They've still not refunded me for the Middlesbrough stream that didn't work. Phoned them, sent 2 emails. No response. I'm not chasing a tenner, but won't ever buy one again off them, and, won't be renewing my Clarets + subscriptions. They're a prime example of why people pluck free streams off the ...

Re: Do you irrationally like/dislike any other teams?

How old were you, 10? Just checked and it was Tuesday 5th March 2002 and we lost 1-0. So, no, not 10 but 38! I also quite like Bristol Rovers and I think it's the unique strip, the 'Pirates' nickname, the fact that a bit of Twerton Park used to stick over the motorway and the underdogs in a big cit...

Clearly not just me then! It's a good thread this, some good tales to read. I was once parked up outside the Bescot Stadium on my own in my van wearing a Burnley shirt after working that day in Birmingham when this big bloke came over and tapped on the window. Do you irrationally like/dislike any other teams?

There are the obvious ones to dislike - Leeds, Blackburn etc. but I was thinking earlier whilst searching, as I frequently do, for the latest Grimsby Town highlights, that there is no good reason I can think of why I have a strange affinity for them. I've only once in my life eaten a battered Mars B...

Yes, it will be available for £10 as it's not a Saturday game nor on Sky.
As for the official site - it's a bloody shambles so little wonder you can't find the information.

John Daly for me. Followed him round for a good while at Birkdale with his fairly rowdy entourage on the Wednesday practice round in 1998 and was captivated by how much of a maverick, a Punk, a rock 'n' roller, a hedonist the guy is. Not the best or most successful player, but lives his life like a ...

Ross Wallace had mentioned it earlier in the commentary that the ball boy in that area was Trevon Bryan and that he had scored earlier in the day in an U-18s match.
As has been noted further up, in-game ball boy coaching is serious attention to detail from Vincent Kompany!

Cracking game this one in front of 17,800 and a game which provided my favourite ever moment on Turf Moor and one which, almost half a century on, still makes me chuckle.
