Re: Clarets+

After inadvertently buying the Rotherham match twice I attempted to contact StreamAMG on 18 occasions using both of their supplied email addresses and didn't so much as get an acknowledgement so based on my experience they seem like a pretty shoddy outfit.

Re: Jet Black RIP

Sad to read this about Jet Black, one of the greatest rock drummers. The Stranglers are a funny one to categorise, though obviously you always find them in the record shop in the 'Punk' rack, they were already around when the London punk scene exploded in 1976 and then kind of got adopted into the s...

Another recommendation for Aroma - eaten in there a good few times over the years and has always been superb. In fact, we'll be dining in there next weekend with friends up from London by request.

I have eaten it a few times.
Slightly more of a 'gamey' flavour than Golden Eagle but fattier than Peregrine Falcon.

Just about a double rainbow from Victoria Park, Nelson. Only a mobile phone snap so not brilliant but it was just so stunning and vibrant in 'real life' at 9am today that I wanted to capture it.

James O'Brien referenced this Twitter account this morning so I had an idea that it would be well worth a look and it certainly didn't disappoint. The Queen has rightly been long lauded as a strong woman, hewn from granite and who just gritted her teeth in the face adversity and stoically got on with things. I'm sure that she would say that any decision to postpone any event was unnecessary and that we too should show that same spirit and just...

Some very interesting points made and as a slight aside, who is the 'bigger' club where local rivals are concerned is something that I find interesting. There are the very obvious ones, Bristol City are bigger than Bristol Rovers and Stoke are bigger than Port Vale for example, but ones which must b...

PNE a contender with their history, but I guess it depends on how you define ‘big’.
Good call that.
There can't be many more contenders - the only other club that's not what I'd think of as a 'small' club that comes to mind is Millwall.

Biggest club never to play in the Premier League?

I've been exchanging text messages today with a good friend of mine who is a season ticket holder at Ashton Gate and is currently on the coach up to Ewood Park and it got me thinking. Although I wouldn't class Bristol City as a 'big' club per se, in fact after just checking, they were last in the to...

I understand why the videos are good for the marketing side of things and they’re clearly well done. Does it make me a bad person if I think they’re a bit cringey? Not at all, I just think that these 'announcement' videos look so cheap and clunky, but on the other hand, they're not aimed at folk pu...
