Re: ARTICLE: Bury manager Ternent wants Swan

I recall walking up the steps at Meadow Lane past the betting booth and saying to my mate yorkyclaret that Peter Swan looked a pretty decent bet at 28/1 for the first goal but of course I didn't take it up. You know the rest.

RIP Vangelis. Left us with some absolutely mesmerising music.
Here's Aphrodite's Child with the magnificent 'It's Five O'Clock', of course featuring Demis Roussos on bass (with more than a passing resemblance to a former Clarets favourite).

Superb performance last night from Bassey, the recovery from the slip was just brilliant.
Barring that one moment, his touch was excellent all the match, I'd go as far as to say that he's the man with the Midas touch.

Just gone through T3 and there were very heavy queues at security and although it wasn't too bad in the scheme of things, in hindsight the Fast Track would have been a good option as they were sailing through there, with a lucky few getting directed out of the massive queues and into Fast Track whil...

Superb article CT.
The 'that one's for you' point towards the Darwen End after the 2-1 win will always remain the defining moment of the Dyche era for me amongst so many fantastic memories.

If we could hand pick a midweek fixture as things stand it would be Everton at home. Mind you, given a choice, Everton might well pick us too. Wednesday is a great opportunity to drag ourselves right back in with a serious chance to survive, but as mentioned already, I think it realistically is a mu...

Funny you should mention this as I've just come back in the house after working in the garden and listening to Joni Mitchell's 'Ladies of the Canyon'.
Here's this magnificent album's closing track, 'The Circle Game'.

I'll be selling my solitary share though the credit to spend with the club isn't of any use to me, nor most non-season ticket holders I'd imagine. Not sure on practicalities or legalities, but would it be possible to get something set up for those lumbered with an otherwise pretty useless £849.50 BF...

Was it Richie Benaud who also said "The art of good commentary is knowing when to say nothing." The USA one went along the lines of the commentator yel...

I'm pretty sure that we were driving back from a 3-2 win at Walsall when the news came through on the radio. We had certainly been playing away. There was a video of the whole disaster unfolding taken from live TV coverage which was one of the most harrowing things I've ever witnessed. RIP to the 56.

A nice example of the 'new manager bounce' after 7 defeats on the trot! They're 7 points behind Bournemouth (who they play at home next Wednesday) in the last play-off spot with 14 to play, including very lowly sides like the current bottom 5 and Blackburn Rovers.
