Re: In your dreams.
When Jimmy Mullen brought me on as a sub with a minute to go at 0-0 in the FA Cup final I chased a massively over hit cross field ball down the right wing and in desperation to keep it in play volleyed it back across the box and it curled into the far top corner. Schmeichel didn't even get near it. ...

So, next question...…. what's a good place to sell old LPs, now that vinyl is back in demand? (No need for answers to this question, just yet). ; If you're happy to spend a lot of time detailing and photographing your records, there's nowhere better than eBay for the volume of views. If you're look...

Re: ARTICLE: Champions receive wonderful reception around the town
It's been a great series of articles to read week by week throughout the season and the fascinating local news stories really set the scene from a time just before I was born. I think the one thing that struck me most was just what a part Trevor Meredith played in it all coming from absolutely nowhe...

I awoke to 'Tour de France' playing on Radio 3 this morning but was then dismayed when the presenter announced the sad news.
I'm going to listen to 'Ralph and Florian' on Spotify later, not heard that album for years.
RIP Florian Schneider.

Re: What have you thought of doing ?
Since I moved into my house in 1993 I've caught the back of my head on an infuriating dumb stupid metal hook in the understairs cupboard countless times. Yesterday it took me about 45 seconds to unscrew it with some pliers. When I got the Hoover out this morning, I felt this gushing sense of satisfa...

Hard to pick one track from so many great albums, but as closing tracks on records go, Down In The Sewer is as good as it gets.
RIP Dave Greenfield.

Re: ARTICLE: A Good Friday against Leicester
Great read as always.
Slightly off at a tangent, but I wonder if the lad who won the marathon was related to Tommy Gildert, the strong man who, if my memory serves me right, once attempted to break the world 1 arm press-up record in the centre circle at half time?
Also, well done the Hatters!

Re: Any memories of playing Cambridge Utd
My abiding memory of going to Cambridge was from a night match in 1999.
I got home in the early hours and when I went to bed my girlfriend groggily asked me the score. Excitedly I told her the result to which she replied "phhhh, all that way for 1-0".
Still makes me chuckle that one.

Played 6 holes of golf with him at Cavendish Golf Club in Buxton in the 80's, real natural warmth, absolutely sharp as a knife humour and incredibly quick witted. Not to mention a pretty good golfer.

I could contribute in some way. I have been playing guitar for just under 3 years and have written quite a few (mainly rock) chordal progressions. I often use 'Scottish football results' as an analogy to describe my feeling whilst listening to a boring long-winded tale from a man in the pub or the tutor on a dull as ditch water work course where I am listening and can clearly hear every word but they literally mean absolutely nothing. I just h...
