All? I haven't done any bird nesting for over 35 years, I think it's best to leave them alone to get on with it. I could have trawled the hedgerows of kent for a Yellowhammer this spring but I didn't bother. I hope they've now finished because the farmer has just decimated all the hedges with his cu...

What a strange name for a pop group. I wonder if they were named after the Slade School of Art? They should have split in the early 70's cos they were naff after that. I queued up to by 'Cum on Feel The Noiz' at Ames record bar in town. Still a great record.

It's over 40 years since I found grebes nesting on Barrow Lodges. Now there's a Macdonald's and a roundabout next door so they've probably gone. Lovely bird, though.

What's on right now is Tom Jones blaring across Canterbury, live from the cricket ground. Sounds bloody awful, but it's so bizarre too. If it were happening in Burnley I would be incredulous, but it's as if it were a normal thing. Last night it was Olly Murs. Now that really was bad.

Now all the fields where they nested are covered in houses. I once went to a party at a house in Ightenhill where a few years before I had actually found a Lapwing's nest. It's spotting the curl on the head poking out of the grass and marking where it is, that's how I found it.

I'm not sure of the origin of the phrase but I presume it to mean things you want to do before 'kicking the bucket.' I used to do a lot of bird watching in days gone by, particularly looking for bird's nests. Although I wasn't an egg collector, I loved to search and find and sometimes photograph. I'...

Let's hope with this signing that Sean Dyche hasn't divided the team in half, seeing that half the team are now Irish. There's bound to be an 'in' crowd of five, that's at least one faction or clique. He seems to know what he's doing in terms of man management so maybe it's best to go along with 'In...

If one is mentally ill one might not realize. I was ill for over five years and I didn't really know. It wasn't until I had a full blown psychosis and took medication, that the symptoms subsided. It's OK Frank. A cheque for £10,000 will do, as recompense. That'll help sort the problem. If Zlatan won the lottery he would be sorted. His g.p. won't give him the right numbers and nor would medication.
